Les Ecuries is a comfortable 3 bedroomed cottage sleeping up to 9 people. The propery is situated on a quiet cul de sac in the rural village of Labroye in the picturesque Vallee de Authie. This is very close to Historic battle sites and of course the beach.
Les Ecuries was once the Stables of the Auberge and retains much of its local french charm. The property comprises ground floor accomodation with a very comfortable open plan living space. Fully furnished lounge, Large dining table and chairs and a fitted kitchen, will make the holiday a home from home experience. There are 3 double bedrooms and a large sofa in the lounge which converts into a double bed. There is also a day bed in the dining area. The property has 2 WC's and 1 bathroom with shower/bath etc.
Outside at the rear of the property is a large garden, barbecue and garden furniture. To the side of the property is a courtyard where you can sit in peace and have a nice cup of tea. There is ample parking to the front of the property.

Local activities in and around Hesdin, North East
The Seven Valleys area is a mixture of gently rolling hills and open countryside and is ideal for walking, cycling and relaxing. The seven rivers that give area its name are ideal for fishing and behind the property is a Trout fishery where you BBQ what you catch or take home. We are within easy reach of the many golf courses in the Pas de Calais region.
About the area - Le Pays des 7 Vallees is a tourist area within this region having the old market town of Hesdin at its heart. Situated at the confluence of the rivers Canche and Ternoise Hesdin has an impressive central 'Grande Place' dominated by the 16th century town hall. Market day is Thursday, but the boutiques, restaurants and bars, its historic church and buildings, and its status as a 3 star 'ville fleuri' (flowered town) make it a town pleasant to visit on any day. North of Hesdin is the 'Foret d'Hesdin' extending to over 1000 hectares. 15 km of forest roads and 5 km of one of the national Grande Randonnée footpaths make it ideal for walking, cycling and picnics.
The sandy beaches of the Cote d'Opale are 45 mins away. Berck has a wide sandy beach popular for kite flying, sand yachting and horse riding whilst Le Touquet (also known as Paris by the sea) has sophisticated boutiques, restaurants and a casino. The real Paris (and Disneyland) is just over 2 hours away by car or train making it an ideal day trip. Alternatively, the historic city of Lille is about one and a quarter hours to the North East.
Closer to home you can visit the flower-decked village of Boubers-sur-Canche, go fishing at Monchel-sur-Canche or explore the national forest at Hesdin. En route to the coast is the walled city of Montreuil-sur-Mer, once home to Victor Hugo and the setting for Les Miserables, which is acted out around the town during the summer evenings.

Rental Notes: A week in our cottage is normally based on Saturday to Saturday. However, we may be able to offer alternative days out of season. We also offer out of season week end breaks of upto 3 nights for £150, upto 9 people. (Just perfect for topping up the wine rack and enjoying a little bit of France!).
We would request that our guests vacate by 10.00 a.m. and arrive after 4.00 p.m. Please do not arrive/vacate during the hours of 11.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m. If your travel arrangements differ from the above, please discuss them with us at time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate your needs where possible.
We require a damages deposit of £200, payable in advance . This is fully refundable assuming the property is left in a satisfactory condition upon departure.
