Local activities in and around Mijas, Costa del Sol - Malaga
Located right in the heart of Golf Valley with 2 courses designed by Robert Trent Jones just metres away. There are another 10 courses just 15 mins by car from Hacienda de Mijas Golf. This is also ideally located for all the famous golf events eg. Vallderama most of which are within 45 mins from this location.
Skiing: With the Sierra Nevada only 2 hours away by excellent roads, it is possible to be at the slopes ready to snow board or ski and then spend the afternoon on the beach!
Whatever you look for in a holiday location, La Hacienda de Mijas Golf has it all. From the numerous sports and leisure activities to relaxing at the beach or having a drink in the local bars. There is even a nature park next to the complex where you can cook your own barbecue (free use). If you prefer dining out, the very affordable Venta is only a short walk from the apartments and offers tapas and a traditional menu. The Aqua Park, Horse Racing (The only course in Spain), Go Karting, Dolphin Centre, Zoo, Adventure parks are all within easy reaching distance.
Close by are Fuengirola, Cabopino, Marbella, Puerto Banus & La Cala, which are a must to visit. In addition there is also Gibraltar for tax free shopping which is only a short trip away and Mijas Village about 15 minutes in a car which is a genuine little Spanish village great for panoramic views of the countryside & is known to all as the white villages of Mijas. A car is recommended to maximise your stay in this area.
