Sleeps 8-9. 4 bedroom villa with private garden and pool. Situated in a hamlet of San Cassaino, above Bagni di Lucca. There is also extra access to private mountain estate. Bagni Di Lucca, less than a 10 mins drive. 55 mins from Pisa Airport and only 35 mins from Lucca. Local mini market shop, butchers , post office , 11th century church and tratoria restaurant are all 8 minutes walk from the Villa.
Villa Rosa was built around the middle 1500s by the Bastiani Family & is located in the beautiful hamlet of San Cassiano Di Controne, (500m/1500 ft above sea level).It offers spectacular views of the Lima Valley.
At an hour drive from Pisa/Florence airports, it offers the ideal base to discover the joys of Tuscany. The provincial capital of Lucca is 40 mins by car and the historical spa town of Bagni Di Lucca, less than a 10 mins drive. The beauty of its location provides the opportunity for total tourism all year round. With the Tuscan Rivera an hour by car and the ski slopes of Abetone less than 50 mins away.
The building has been re-modernised over the years and offers comfort and relaxation for individuals and groups up to 9 people. This includes 2 large doubles, a normal double and a large triple room. There are 2 large bathrooms one on the ground floor and the other on first floor. A new pool 8m x 4m is ready, with both shaded an sun exposed areas. We also are giving Villa Rosa residents access to our private estate Dante's Peak.
A variety of budget airlines as well as national carriers fly into both Pisa and Florence Airports. There are over 100 destinations that fly direct into Tuscany, including New York, London, Glasgow, Paris & Munich

Skiing? Villa Rosa is only 40 minutes from the biggest skiing area south of the Italian Alps at Abetone. A hidden gem away from the heard!(Please see our internet link below and also our website for more information).
Hiking and mountain biking are popular in the area due to the Villa's location. Further down the valley one can go canoeing. Bagni Di Lucca offers Olympic sized pool with a thermal Roman spa. Both are fed by thermal water.
Bagni also has its own Tennis club which is toured by the Italian junior team.

Skiing at Abetone Ski Resort
Only 40 minutes drive from Villa Rosa you reach the biggest Apennine resort. Located in a state forest on the Modena to San Marcello Roadnear the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, with ski access points at Faidello (1220m) Abetone (1400m) Le Regine (1200m) Plan di Novello (1150m) and Cutigliano (733m). There are 54 lifts over this wide area with 27 at Abetone itself, including many chairs. These access an extensive network of mixed-ability pistes above and below the tree-line. The highest point (Monte Gomito) is 1940m. 20 kilometers of ski slopes have snowmaking facilities. Abetone also has 2 ski schools.

Pool will be closed from 11 October 2008 to 1 May 2009 and reopen from 2 May 2009 to 3 October 2009.
If guests are arriving in between different pricing dates, then final cost will be prorated. On arrival £250/300 Euro's are to be paid as a security deposit for any potential breakages / damage, which will be returned on departure assuming no breakages or damage have occurred. All bookings will also have 50 euro cleaning charge applicable.

"Well what can I Say.Me and my family have just returned back from Tuscany after having spent the new year period there. We booked and stayed at Villa Rosa, located just above the town of Bagni Di Lucca, in the village of San Cassiano Di Controne. The villa was clean and as described on this site.
