In Teurtheville-Bocage their is a Cheese producer and a Cider and Calvados Farm who welcome all visitors. 5 minutes away in Montague la Brisette is a wonderful animal Parc.Ideal for children to feed the animals and a pleasant 2 hr walk around.
The WW2 landing beaches start 10 min. drive from the cottage.It is well placed for visiting all the WW2 museums such as Utah,Omaha,Sword, Gold , Arrowmanche and the American Airbourne in Saint Marie E'glise.

We offer a haven of peace and quiet in glorious rural surroundings with the opportunity to breath clean air. The cottage is surrounded by unspoiled countryside and it overlooks a large courtyard leading on to rolling fields, and play areas. Relax in the pretty gardens, a real nature lover’s haven with birds singing, big skies and beautiful sunsets.
This pretty holiday cottage with roses around the door has an open plan living/dining room which has been lovingly restored yet keeping its original charm. There is a large wood burner for cosy relaxing evenings. TV for DVD, Stereo, MP3, board games and books. Everything to make you feel relaxed.
There is a fitted kitchen well equipped for every need. If you prefer you can order an evening meal to have ready in your cottage for when you arrive or when you come back from a day of sightseeing or you can book to eat in the owners Farmhouse.
In the hallway there is a table football game for you to enjoy and on the wall is a original newspaper from 1938 which makes interesting readingwhich was found glued on a bedroom wall.
Upstairs there are three spacious well decorated comfortable bedrooms. All bedlinen is supplied.
The bathroom comprises of washbasin, Shower, Toilet. Towels can be hired at a small cost if needed. All rooms have electric heating.
There is a barn next door which houses a washing machine and there is a washing line for your use. The cottage has its own private south facing pretty garden with lots of flowers, furniture and BBQ.
Across the courtyard and up some steps there is a large field where there is plenty of room for football and Badminton. There are areas with flower beds and seating areas. There is also a barn near the field for table tennis.
The Hamlet is very quiet and ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Local activities in and around Valognes, Normandy
There are beautiful Chateaus and gardens to visit in the area of Cherbourg as well as the Aquarium.On the west coast Barnville Carteret is worth a visit and it's also where the ferry leave for Jersey where day trips are available.
It is a wonderful area for bird watching and walking , either in the countryside or on the beach. William the Conqueror left from Barfleur which is a popular visitors town.
St.Vaast La Hougue is popular for keen water sports ,be it sail or windsurfing and has a beautiful yacht harbour and lots of restaurants and bars. The restaurants have a wonderful selection of fish, especially Oysters that are farmed here.Tatihou Isle is twinned with Brownsea Island in Poole and has a nature reserve and a museum. There is an ampfibuous boat that travels to the isle. Each August there is a music festival on the Isle with lots of musicians.
The beach at Jonville is south facing and even in the middle of summer is never crowded. It's a lovely beach for children to play in the rock pools.
The Panaramique restaurant on top of the hill between Quettehou and Barfleur is well placed and you can see the coast from Barfleur all the way to the Landing beaches of the second world war.
From Cherbourg take the RN13 south, at Valognes exit, at the second traffic lights turn left.D 902 direction Quettehou. Stay on this road for 12 km. then take left turn , D119 to 'Le Perchoir'.
