Santa Helena can be found in the small rustic village of San Bartolomeu set in the Nature Reserve between Castro Marim & Praia Verde. Served by two airports, Faro (35 mins) and Seville (90 mins), it is a modern, 2000+ square foot, beautifully finished 4 bed house. It is tastefully decorated throughout. There is a private pool to the front which enjoys all-day sun. To the rear is a large sunny terrace overlooking the lush green hills. Sleeps 8. Ideally suited to a family or golfing holiday. Superb location being only a 5 minute drive to almost anywhere...beach, golf and a number of bustling towns. Rates from €800pw.

Santa Helena enjoys prime location nestling in a village in the countryside yet less than 5 minutes drive to beach, shopping, restaurants, golf....
Although the village itself is rustic and quiet with a church, two restaurants, a 'local' bar and a mini-market, the busy resorts of Altura (5 mins), Monte Gordo (5 mins), Manta Rota (7 mins), (Cabanas 10 mins), and Tavira (15 mins) are only a short drive away. Vila Real da San Antonio, a large frontier town built on the banks of the Guadiana river is also closeby (5 - 10 mins).
You can be in Spain in just 8 minutes from the house!
Only 1.5km from the beach in very up-market Praia Verde - this beautiful beach stretches for about 40km to the Ria Formosa lagoon.
Numerous golf courses within easy reach : Monte Rei (Jack Nicklaus' 36-hole signature course), Castro Marim, Benamor, Quinta da Rio and Quinta da Cima are all within a 5-15 minute drive.

The very spacious lounge/dining is complete with stylish furniture and marble flooring with two sets of double doors opening onto rear terrace which has a stone table and benches for al-fresco dining. Only 1.5km from Praia Verde - this resort gives access to a beautiful beach that stretches for about 40km to the Rio Formosa. It is a luxury development with restaurants/cafes. Also nearby is Praia Alagoa for water sports. The beaches in the Eastern Algarve are superb, sandy, safe and clean and stretch for miles.
The busy resort of Altura with its beach and many lovely restaurants, bars, boutique shops, beauticians, hairdressers... is only 5 mins drive.
Monte Gordo has a promenade that comes alive with street entertainment, craftsmen and market traders in the summer months and is a lovely stroll all year round. There are some good bars and a casino! And great shopping.
Manta Rota (7 mins) Cabanas (a busy fishing village only 12 mins), and Tavira (15 mins) are only a short drive away.
Vila Real da San Antonio, a large frontier town built on the banks of the Guadiana river that forms a natural border between Spain & Portugal is also closeby (5 - 10 mins). Here you can enjoy a coffee in the square and watch the world go by. Also good for shopping.
Alternatively, you can be in Spain in just 8 minutes from the house and take in the sights of Ayamonte which tends to be busier and more boisterous than the Portugese towns.
Numerous golf courses within easy reach : Monte Rei (Jack Nicklaus's 36-hole signature course), Castro Marim, Benamor, Quinta da Rio and Quinta da Cima are all within a 10-15 minute radius. Horse riding Centre Equitacao for lessons, riding and horse tours 10 mins. Cycling, bird watching, fishing and walking Local markets which take place in alternating towns every week.
From Faro take Exit 17 off the A22 for Monte Gordo. Turn left at T Junction and left at next junction for Nature Reserve/Castro Marim. Travel 1km to San Bartolomeu & turn right opposite the church.

Change-over dates are flexible. Check out best value flights and talk to us. Arrivals from 4pm and departure before 10am but where possible we will work with guests to facilitate early/late arrivals and departures.
Rental includes fresh bed linen,bath and pool towels, water, gas, an ample electricity allowance and weekly maintenance of the swimming pool. Full cleaning service at the end of 1 week stay, or maid visit in the middle of a 2-week stay.
A deposit of 20% required to secure booking - balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to hire commencement date. A refundable €250 breakages retainer is sought.
Cancellations: Non-refundable booking deposit. 4 - 6 weeks: 50% of refund. Less than 4 weeks: no refund.
