It is also an ideal place from which to explore Northumberland, including Cheviot hills and coastal areas of outstanding beauty which are a short drive away(Alnmouth, Warkworth, Amble, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Holy Island).

Alnwick Castle
Alnwick Castle is the second largest inhabited castle in England, the first being Windsor Castle, and has been home of the Percys, Earls and Dukes of Northumberland since 1309. Some may recognise it as a film location, for everything from Harry Potter to Elizabeth to Becket to Blackadder.
The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland is one of the most exciting contemporary gardens to be developed in the last century, featuring spectacular water displays, wonderful gardens, and the largest treehouse in Europe.
The Metro Centre is England's largest indoor leisure and shopping centre. Located in Gateshead, three miles south west of Newcastle upon Tyne. (40 minutes by car from Alnwick)

We normally run Saturday to Saturday but are flexible. Arrival and departure times are 2.00 pm and 10.am but again can be flexible. The owners are located nearby and, therefore, on hand if there are any queries, A welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk is provided on arrival.
