The Courtyard Cottage is a self-contained, ground floor apartment, ideal for a couple and spacious enough for a sturdy baby cot (which can be provided).
It is part of the Le Grand Bost property and shares the spacious garden and adjoining field and woods with the owner’s separate home. In the holiday season the swimming pool is for the exclusive use of guests.
Le Grand Bost is a quiet secluded property, on the edge of the Foret de Double with wonderful biking and walking paths and two kilometres away from the pretty village of Siorac de Riberac, with its Roman church and the charming Le Lavoir restaurant.
Seven kilometres away is the large town of Riberac which has all the facilities one might need for a holiday, two large supermarkets, cafes, post office, pharmacies, restaurants, petrol stations, banks and a busy weekly market selling local produce and crafts.

'Le Lavoir' at Siroac de Riberac
The interior of the cottage is a spacious, bright, open plan sleeping/living area, decorated with the artist owner’s paintings and furnished with a double bed, comfortable sofa, dining table and chairs and a wood burning stove. The kitchen space is fully equipped with cooker and fridge. There is a separate shower room and toilet and laundry facilities for guests are on site. Linen and towels are provided.
French windows lead out into the large, paved courtyard full of red geraniums and climbing roses where guests can eat out or have a barbeque.
The 8x4m swimming pool is situated below the terrace of the old farmhouse in the huge garden surrounded by forest and field with plenty of shady and sunny space for recliners.
Le Grand Bost is within easy reach of many historic town and sites. The renowned vineyards of St Emilion are an hour away, Bordeaux with its beautiful 18th century architecture is an hour and a half drive. The glorious chateaux of Hautfort, Puyguilhem and the Grottes de Villars are a lovely day out. To the south east there are the pre-historic Lascaux caves and the mediaeval town of Sarlat.
There are two golf clubs within half an hours drive; canoeing along the Dronne from Aubeterre or Brantome; fishing at the Etange de La Jamaye and rental bikes easily available in Riberac.
The nearest airports are Bergerac and Bordeaux and the TGV train from Paris flies to Angouleme in two and a half hours and from there it is an easy hours’ drive to the property.
