Local activities in and around Armacao de Pera, Central Algarve
The Atlantico apartment block lies on the residential estate in Armação de Pera. The centre of this tourist town is just 1km away. Therefore within walking distance you will find a large variety of restaurants, coffee bars, shops and nightlife. You will also find its splendid long sandy beach, ideal for sunbathers and walkers.
For golfers, there are 28 courses all within 30 mins drive. And the new oceanico faldo and oconner courses on the door step.
For a good day’s shopping a visit to the Algarve Shopping centre in Guia is recommended (approx 10 kms). This centre has a good selection of international shops, large hypermarket, ten pin bowling, cinema and food halls.
Guia also has a marine life park named Zoo Marine. It is an ideal family day out where you can see seals, sea lions and dolphins amongst other animals. It is even possible to book an “interaction with dolphins” experience, where you can actually swim with these beautiful creatures.
Alcantarilha at 4kms has a water park open in main summer season and you can visit the Lagoa dos Salgados (4kms), a natural birdlife haven popular with flamingoes.
Public transport can be accessed from the sea front if you decide to explore the algarve further. Day trips can also be booked from the sea front for the local attractions and markets days.
From the airport take the A22 towards Portimao,Then at junction 7 armacao de pera turn off and follow signs into the resort.
