Hazel Cottage is a delightful 4 bedroom cottage situated just 250m from the shores of Loch Awe (the Jewel of Argyll). Only 15 mins drive from both Inverary and Dalmally, it is ideally placed for enjoying everything that the area has to offer. The cottage has been recently renovated and is bright and well appointed, with one double bedroom downstairs and one king plus two twin bedrooms upstairs. The property has two bathrooms, both with baths and showers, one of which is downstairs. Large open plan kitchen / lounge with Calor Gas stove and stunning loch views. Dining Conservatory plus outside seating. Gas BBQ. Ample Parking. One well behaved dog welcome by prior arrangement.

Hazel Cottage is well equipped to provide you with a fabulous holiday in one of the most stunning areas in Scotland. Despite being easily accessible – just an hour and a half’s drive from Glasgow and only 20 minutes from the picture postcard whitewashed town of Inverary - it affords a sense of remoteness, peace and tranquility amidst the most glorious of surroundings.
Recently renovated, it is bright and airy, with a spacious lounge, open plan kitchen, two bathrooms, 4 bedrooms and upstiars sitting area. The dining conservatory and outside seating area offer stunning views of Loch Awe, the mountain range and the Cruachan Dam.
NEW FOR 2009! Hazel Cottage will benefit from further renovations over the winter, in time for the 2009 season. There will be a stunning new open-plan kitchen diner with the existing kitchen being converted into a chill-out area off the lounge. For the outside, there will be an extensive deck with gates, creating a safe play area for young children and affording stunning views of the Cruachan mountain range and Loch Awe. For the ultimate in relaxation, guests will also be able to enjoy the new HOT TUB which will be housed in its own enclosure to provide the perfect private oasis.

Fishing: Loch Awe is the leading wild fishing loch in Scotland. Stretching over 24 miles in length, it is home to a wide assortment of fish including char, salmon, pike and trout, both brown and rainbow.Fishing permits are available at several outlets throughout Central Scotland. Local outlets are Loch Awe Stores in Lochawe, Loch Awe Boats (just a few minutes walk form Hazel Cottage) and Awe Service Station at Bridge of Awe. Permits cost £6.00 per day, £12.00 for three days, £20.00 per week, £60.00 for the season (half-price for juveniles and concessions). There will be no charge for children under 12 who are accompanied by a permit-holding adult.
Rental Notes: Usual lets Sat-Sat. Short breaks (Sat-Tues or Tues-Sat) available (not in peak season). 15% discount (low-mid season) for parties of 2. Bed linen and towels (not beach towels) included. Property cleaned and bedding/towels changed weekly. check out 10.00am. Check in 4pm. A non-refundable 20%deposit is payable on booking.
The balance is payable six weeks prior to the commencement of the letting period booked and includes a £150 good housekeeping deposit (to cover any additional cleaning required and/or security for any damage caused the property or its contents).
For bookings made six weeks or less prior to the commencement of the tenancy, the full rent together with any additional charges, must be paid at the time the booking is made. The deposit is returnable if the booking is not accepted by us.
