Woodlands stands just outside the village of Langford Budville in rural surroundings between woodlands and open countryside in the lovely Vale of Taunton Deane on the Somerset/Devon border.
Relax in the 6 person hot tub in a gazebo, even in winter. Pure luxury!
The house is spacious and homely, furnished and decorated to a very high standard, with full central heating and double glazing and everything a family needs for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday . There is also a small swimming pool in the summer.
Located on the site of a garden nursery/small holding and adjoining a 180 acre nature reserve, it is ideal for those wishing to get away from it all to relax and unwind.
The large conservatory/lounge has a log burner (logs provided), two settees, two arm chairs, hi-fi system, wide screen TV with Sky box (full package), video, DVD player & a good selection of videos, DVDs, CD's, books & games. The conservatory double doors lead out into a private patio area, a perfect place for alfresco dining & on to a large, mature private garden.
The large beamed farmhouse style kitchen has solid limed oak kitchen units, a range style gas cooker with griddle plate, gas hobs, two ovens & a grill. Also a toaster, toasted sandwich maker, dishwasher, washer/dryer, coffee machine, steamer, potato peeler, iron & ironing board, a wide variety of cooking utensils, pots, pans & dishes for six people plus extra for dinner guests.
The ground floor bedroom has a four-poster bed, colour TV, video, dressing table, en-suite shower.
The large family bathroom has a Whirpool bath, sink and WC. There is also a separate cloakroom with WC and sink.
Upstairs are two further bedrooms. Bedroom two is a spacious and luxurious room with double aspect windows looking over woodland full of bluebells in spring on one side and open countryside on the other. The room has a king sized bed, two arm chairs, large wardrobe, dressing table with mirror, large TV and video.
The third bedroom is a twin room with two single beds, a wardrobe, colour TV and unit with lots of books and games for younger visitors. Cots and high chairs can be provided.
Children are made very welcome with toys, games, a play area with swings, slides, see-saw, climbing frame and plenty of space to play.
There is parking outside & further parking onsite.
The cottage is set between woodland & open countryside with panoramic views to the Blackdown Hills (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty) & Wellington Monument.
There is a wide choice of good eating pubs nearby. The village pub in Langford Budville is within walking distance & benefits from open fires & good food.

Only 5 miles from the M5 (J 26), "Woodlands" is located midway between the north & south coasts, with many tourist attractions within easy reach.
There are walks/cycle rides directly from the property into a 180 acre Nature Reserve, a mixture of mature deciduous woodlands & heathland, crisscrossed with rambling paths inviting leisurely exploration, or along country lanes with ancient hedgerows.
The Blackdown Hills are also a good walking location.
Farmers Markets Both Wellington & Taunton run farmers markets. Wiveliscombe & Milverton have local monthly markets where you can pick up everything from home made jam & cakes to clothes & gifts.
Shopping Exeter, excellent shopping centre & food markets. Only 25 miles away.
Bristol has a huge out of town shopping mall, Cribbs Causeway, plus a new stylish shopping centre at Cabot Circus in the city centre. There is also a wealth of independant shopping areas including Park Street & Clifton.
Taunton, the county town, has many independant shops and a lively high street.
Street has an outlet village offering discounts from Clarks, Fat Face, Next and many more.
Wiveliscombe, Wellington, Honiton, Bampton & Dulverton also have a variety of independant shops, antique & interiors shops, as well as small eateries & food markets.
Horse Riding You can find stables offering riding for beginners or the more experienced on the Quantocks, Exmoor, the Blackdowns or even closer.

Reopened in 1976, the WSR is Britain’s longest preserved steam railway. Steam and heritage diesel locomotives operate from Bishops Lydeard, along the Quantock Hills to the West Somerset coast, terminating at Minehead. There are ten stations over twenty miles, with various railway museums, signal boxes and station buildings, which have all been restored to their Great Western heyday, enroute.
Why not try one of the special events such as the Spring and Autumn Steam Galas, the Sunset Specials, the Murder Mystery Night, ‘Steam and Cream’ or ‘Fish and Chip’ specials? The Bishops Lydeard station is 8 miles away.
Exmoor also offers varied terrain and tracks for cycling and walking. Three main walks are the Coleridge way, the Tarka Trial and the South West Coast Path. The Valley of the rocks, Lynton, Lynmouth, Porlock and Wimberball Lake all make good day trips from the cottage.
The Quantock Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just 8 miles from the cottage. As well as being an excellent hiking location, the area boasts an extensive range of mountain bike tracks including challenging downhills and steep climbs. The huge variety of terrain offers a range of cycle routes of varying lengths for all abilities.
