Oak Cottage is a cosy, detached well equipped cottage, ideal for a romantic getaway or small families. Relax in our 6 person hot tub in a gazebo, even in winter. Sheer luxury! This pretty two bedroom cottage can sleep 2 adults and up to 3 children. The main bedroom has a comfortable king sized bed & views of private enclosed garden. The children's bedroom has bunkbed, a single on top & double underneath. Spacious bathroom with Whirpool Bath. Warm, comfortable lounge with Log Burner and Sky TV. Well equipped kitchen/diner & secluded private gardens. Small swimming pool in the summer.
Located on the site of a garden nursery / small holding just outside the village of Langford Budville in the lovely Vale of Taunton Deane on the Somerset / Devon border. The cottage is set between woodland and open countryside with panoramic views to the Blackdown Hills (designated an area of outstanding natural beauty) and Wellington Monument.

Oak Cottage is a comfortable, cosy, two bedroom, detached, one storey cottage with gas central heating, double glazing and log burner.
The Kitchen Area has cottage style units with range style combination electricity and gas cooker with gas hobs, griddle, two ovens and grill, there is a dishwasher, washer / dryer, toaster, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, sandwich toaster, iron and ironing board.
The Living Area is open plan with two settees, a log burner, wide screen colour TV with full package Sky, DVD player, video, Hi-fi, books and games. Large patio window to front garden.
The Dining Area is by a large window looking out over fields to the Blackdown Hills.
The main bedroom has a king sized bed, colour TV, wardrobe, drawers and window overlooking private garden.
The children's bedroom has toys, games, bunk bed (the bottom bunk is a double bed so the room will take up to three children). The Bathroom has a WC, sink and a Whirlpool Bath with shower over.
Outside, to the front is a patio garden with water feature, table and chairs looking on to a view of open countryside and the Blackdown hills.
To the side of the property is a fenced, sunny, secluded garden, a haven for the birds and animals, safe for children and perfect for alfresco dining. There is a sandpit/paddling pool, washing line, table with parasol and four chairs. The mature cottage garden is full of fragrant rosemary and honeysuckle and beautiful rambling roses.
There is a parking space right outside the property and there is further parking onsite.
Cots and high chairs available at no extra cost.
Children are made very welcome with toys, games, a play area with swings, slides, see-saw, climbing frame and plenty of space to play.

Only 5 miles from the M5 (J 26), Oak Cottage is located midway between the north & south coasts, with many tourist attractions within easy reach.
There are walks/cycle rides directly from the property into a 180 acre Nature Reserve, a mixture of mature deciduous woodlands & heathland, crisscrossed with rambling paths inviting leisurely exploration, or along country lanes with ancient hedgerows.
The Blackdown Hills are also a good walking location on the Devon and Somerset border.
Farmers Markets: Both Wellington & Taunton run farmers markets. Wiveliscombe & Milverton have local markets where you can pick up everything from home made jam & cakes to clothes & gifts.
Shopping: Exeter, excellent shopping centre & food markets. Only 25 miles away.
Bristol has a huge out of town shopping mall Cribbs Causeway plus a new stylish shopping centre at Cabot Circus in the city centre. There is also a wealth of independant shopping areas including Park Street and Clifton.

Reopened in 1976, the WSR is Britain’s longest preserved steam railway. Steam and heritage diesel locomotives operate from Bishops Lydeard, along the Quantock Hills to the West Somerset coast, terminating at Minehead. There are ten stations over twenty miles, with various railway museums, signal boxes and station buildings, which have all been restored to their Great Western heyday, enroute.
Why not try one of the special events such as the Spring and Autumn Steam Galas, the Sunset Specials, the Murder Mystery Night, ‘Steam and Cream’ or ‘Fish and Chip’ specials? The Bishops Lydeard station is 8 miles away.
Exmoor also offers varied terrain and tracks for cycling and walking. Three main walks are the Coleridge way, the Tarka Trial and the South West Coast Path. The Valley of the rocks, Lynton, Lynmouth, Porlock and Wimberball Lake all make good day trips from the cottage.
The Quantock Hills, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just 8 miles from the cottage. As well as being an excellent hiking location, the area boasts an extensive range of mountain bike tracks including challenging downhills and steep climbs. The huge variety of terrain offers a range of cycle routes of varying lengths for all abilities.
