"LEMON TREE HOUSE is a beautifully presented detached house on two floors with a very relaxed atmosphere. Newly refurbished, furnished and decorated to a designer finish with amazing views over the harbour to the sea and mountains. South facing, Lemon Tree House enjoys sun all day with naturally shaded areas.
From here you can enjoy Poros and the surrounding islands. The views are fantastic and the house is spacious, well-equipped and comfortable with air conditioning (hot and cold). For the winter months there is an open fire. There are two terraces and small surrounding gardens planted with shrubs and flowering plants. The terrace on the upper level is part covered. All bedrooms and living areas have sea views.

ACTIVITIES: Water sports - skiing, canoing, dinghy sailing,yacht chartering, paragliding, banana boat, jetski. Local shops, supermarkets, restaurants and banks are all within a couple of minutes of the house.
Archaelogical places of interest to visit. Mainland at Galatas is under two minutes by taxi boat opposite Poros and you can hire a car or scooter to explore. The beaches are all sandy and have at least one taverna. Sunbeds & parasols available for hire. If you prefer a swimming pool there are two available at no charge with sunbeds and parasols.
Flexible accommodation for a large group of friends or two families with an entrance at both levels. In one minute you are at the bustling harbour with choice of restaurants bars, cafes, shops, including small supermarkets and banks. A daily market sells meat and fish. fresh fruit and vegetables are easily found.
ACCOMMODATION: A few steps lead to the gated entrance and covered walkway.

2 Bathrooms. Both bathrooms have bath with shower, w.c. basin and one has a bidet. Newly refurbished to a high standard.

Cooker, Hob, Fridge, Freezer, Washing Machine, Iron. Two kitchens. The kitchen on the ground floor is small and does not have a washing machine. The main kitchen on the upper floor is newly decorated and well equipped including washing machine.

Dining:
Seating for 10. Upper level: An extendable table with 8 chairs in the dining area with additional table and chairs on the covered terrace and open terrace.

Entertainment:
Radio, CD System, Board Games. Explore the harbour and the small streets off the harbour for a good choice of greek restaurants, late night bars, cafes and a limited number of clubs. Greek dancing.
Outside:
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Balcony, Garden Furniture. A pretty garden surrounds the house which is planted with exotic trees and shrubs. A covered terrace on the upper floor provides shade and both terraces have panaromic sea and country views.

No access by car to the house. There are steps between the harbour and the house which elderly people may find tiresome! House to harbour 1 min. but 5mins coming back due to uphill!

"Getting There: Poros, one of the Saronic islands is very green and the scenery quite stunning. The easy pace of life here is very relaxing. Easily accessible from Pireaus, Athens. Fast ferry 1 hr; price-[according to season] 14€. Slow ferry 2.45hrs approx. 7€
Alternatively hire a car at Athens airport and drive to mainland Galatas [2hr approx]. Leave the car here and take the taxi boat to Poros (2 minutes crossing) or the car by car ferry (crossing 5mins). Regular crossings available
Saronic islands- Aegina, Hydra and Spetses, all with their own special charm can be visited from Poros.
Shopping: many shops on the harbour front and in the narrow white painted streets.Daily fish and meat market, fruit & vegetable shops, supermarkets. Banks, post office and numerous other shops.
Entertainment: The restaurants and bars are family owned and it is a very safe and charming place to holiday. There are late night bars and cafes to frequent and a couple of discos but this is not an island streaming with clubs and loud music. There are several internet cafes and a place to play snooker.
Beaches: With sunbeds for hire and one or more retaurants. Rarely crowded. Taxis on the harbour take you wherever you want to go. Charges are approx. 3€ to the furthest beach. A leaves the harbour every 20mins or so and stops at all the beaches. The charge is 50c each way, whatever the distance. Taxi boats on the harbour to Galatas and the beaches approx. 1€ or 50c over to the mainland.
Swimming Pools: There are a few swimming pools offering free useage and all are equipped with sunbeds and a bar or restaurant.
Water Sports: Askeli beach- 5 mins by bus/car. Waterskiing, fun water sports as banana boat, dinghy sailing, windsurfing, kayaking.
Car Hire: Bike, scooter, car hire and boat trips around the island and to other nearby islands as well as further afield.
