Brand new in 2001, this is luxury, convenient accommodation, 4 minutes from the lifts of the second highest resort in Europe and the biggest ski area in the world. Snow record second to none, one of the longest seasons in the Alps. There are only two towns in the alps with the Aquatonic pool system and these apartments have one of them!. Underground parking is included
Three bedrooms with wooden paneling, over two floors, a modern kitchen with dishwasher, large dining area with luxury stone floors. There is a pull out sofa that will sleep an additional two and bedroom three has room for two additional children, if they can sleep on air beds or similar.
Within the complex is the Aquatonic pool, ideal for all those aches and pains after a hard day on the slopes. There are only two of these pools in the Alps, and they include two pools, with views of the slopes, massage jets for feet, legs , torso, neck, back, plus jacuzzi, steam room. There is also a Gym and water aerobics available. Bread can be delivered to the reception and the supermarket is a 5 minute walk,

Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher. Great combination oven, microwave, we cooked Christmas dinner with turkey for 8 in our first year in 2001, well equipped, good storage. WM and dryers in basement, tokens available from reception

Seating for 8. large table with bench and chairs, great for evenings after skiing, cards, games etc

Satellite TV. Mainly continental channels and CNN, bring your laptop with a dvd drive and connection leads watch dvds on the flat screen tv in the lounge

Communal Pool, Parking, Balcony. Pool is open to the public, but is very pricy, so not many use it. You will have unlimited access to the pool complex for your week

Local activities in and around Tignes, Rhone Alps
Well, its winter sports at it finest, Val Claret is the highest of the Tignes villages at 2100m, the MGM apartments are the newest in Tignes and are built sympathetically of stone and wood.
The snow record is second to none, with the Grande Motte at 3500m and skiing down to Les Breviers at 1500m, with the optional link up with Val D'Isere, there are more runs than you can ski in a week, lots of high blue runs for motorway cruising, plus a huge amount of off Piste.
You can hanglide, skidoo, langlauf, and even go diving under the ice in the lake!

From Calais it is a 9/10 hour drive. Best to stop overnight at either Lyon Sud leaving 146 miles (3 hrs) or Chambery leaving 114 miles (2.5 hrs) to go Chambery is the closest airport being 83 miles (1.5hrs) from Tignes but can only be accessed from Southampton operated by Flybe. A car can be rented or there are coach transfers.
Lyon and Geneva airports have little to choose between them in terms of distance to the resort which is 146 miles (3 hrs) and 114 miles (2.5 hrs) respectively. Easyjet fly to Lyon from Stansted and to Geneva from both Gatwick and Luton.
Eurostar operate either directly to Bourg St Maurice or to Paris Gare du Nord and then by the overnight train. On Fridays there are trains with departure times from London Waterloo International that will arrive early the next morning and you can liaise easily with the Altibus coach transfers from Bourg St Maurice station to Val Claret
