A superb newly converted Oast House in a peaceful and rural location, yet less than 5 miles from Ashford. Tucked away at the rear of the owners' grounds with separate drive and 0.5 acre garden, this excellent holiday home has something for everyone. This is wonderful walking country with many footpaths leading to the Saxon Shore Way; local pubs are in Bilsington (1.5 miles) and another 1 mile distant. An ideal location for visiting the many castles, gardens, historic houses, National Trust properties as well as zoos and family attractions, day trips to Europe from nearby Eurotunnel terminal and only a 1 hour journey to London from Ashford by train.
Private access to the Oast House with ample parking on the gravel drive. Entrance is via a gentle ramp/pathway through a stable door into the hallway with oak flooring throughout the ground floor. Downstairs cloakroom/WC. An archway displaying the original stonework leads into the delightful dining room with vaulted ceiling which is located in the roundel. The spacious kitchen has pale green floor and wall units, electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, automatic washing machine/drier, fridge with freezer compartment, freezer and long marble effect worktops. The comfortable beamed lounge has rugs on the oak floor, comfortable terracotta colour settees and armchair and pouffe, coffee table, colour TV/video, music system, a large woodburning stove and French doors overlooking the grounds. Stairs lead to the upper floor. The large master bedroom - again with a high ceiling and beams - has a king-size bed, pine wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table with lamps and a portable colour TV. En-suite bathroom with hand shower over the bath, a corner shower cubicle, washbasin and WC. There are two pretty twin bedrooms, one in the Roundel is approached by a short staircase, both having 3ft beds which can be zipped together if required and pine furnishings. A 4ft sofabed is available for one/two people in the master bedroom or living room. On this floor is also the family bathroom, which has a bath with hand shower over, WC and washbasin with shaver light over. From the upper floor a stable door leads out onto a decked area with small table and chairs with an exterior staircase to the ground level. A pathway around the Oast House leads to a patio area with garden furniture and to the rear there is a large pond well-stocked with fish - there is a low fence here and children must be supervised. The grounds are laid to lawn.
