Deia is one of the most beautiful villages in Mallorca with spectacular views of the Teix mountains and the sea. Once home to the poet Robert Graves, the composer De Falla and illustrator Arthur Rackham and now a haven for bohemians, romantics and artists. Have dinner on our verandah and take in views of the church above terraces of ancient olive trees.

The house is surrounded by a mediterranean garden fragrant with lemon blossom, it is beautifully decorated with modern oak furniture and many pieces of contemporary art. This is an ideal spot for beach lovers, artists and walkers.
Outside there is a covered dining terrace, garden and patio. On the ground floor is a spacious living room overlooking the garden and a large kitchen fully fitted with modern appliances including dishwasher and washing machine and dining bar seating 4. Upstairs are 2 comfortable bedrooms with air conditioning, one with a double bed and the other with twin beds. The bathroom is luxuriously fitted with bath/shower and bidet.
Son Canals is a newly built small development of traditional stone houses in the village. Deia has many excellent restaurants, tapas bars and shops within 3 minutes walk. Cala Deia beach is a 20 minute picturesque walk through the olive groves or a 5 minute drive.

Seating for 6. There are three separate dining areas,two outside and one inside. One of the outside areas is covered and the other is situated under a pergola scented with jasmin.

Terrestrial TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System, Tennis Court. There is a pay and play tennis court 100yds from the property.

Terrace, Garden, Parking, Garden Furniture. The garden is a feature of the property with many mature shrubs and small fruit trees. There is lavender and jasmin as well as lemon blossom and roses. There is a supply of fresh herbs for cooking.

There is ample parking space directly outside the house, however the stairs to the enclosed garden and entrance mean it is inaccessible to wheelchair users.
Local activities in and around Deia, Mallorca
Deia has many restaurants in all price ranges and the La Residencia 5 star hotel is just at the top of the street. There are 2 village grocery shops, banks, pharmacy, health food store together with other stores selling clothing, art work and gifts. There are weekly concerts in the village square, and jazz nights each Saturday at the tapas bar. Opposite our house is the tennis court.
The towns of Soller and Valdemossa are 15 minutes drive. They have weekly markets. Soller is famous for its tram and orange groves. Valdemossa was once home to Frederik Chopin. Palma is a 30 minute drive.
