East Cottage on Glencarron - Spacious, restored and modernised, period cottage
Cottage with 2 Bedrooms, Sleeps 5, Garden
A traditional Victorian Highland estate cottage, which accommodates up to 5/6 people. This spacious, well equipped and recently restored cottage is set on a breathtaking 11,800 acre deer forest with two lochs and rivers, a variety of wildlife, including golden eagles, a site of special scientific interest and access to the stunning remote valley of Glenuig. It is ideal for walking, gentle or advanced, there being four Munros on the Estate, wildlife watching, fishing for trout or salmon and deer stalking, in either the stag or hind seasons. If you can tear yourself away from the Estate it also makes an ideal base for exploring the Highlands; being about an hour’s drive from Inverness and the airport in the east and under 40 minutes from the West coast and the Isle of Skye. The cottage, set above the road, adjoins the estate stalkers cottage

Hind stalking is available from the end of October through to the end of January and may be taken on a daily basis.
For anglers, there are brown trout and sea trout and the chance of a salmon on 3km of the River Carron and Loch Sgamhain and trout in a further hill loch on the Estate. A boat is available on Loch Sgamhain.
For lovers of wildlife, there are resident eagles, red grouse, ptarmigan, snipe, woodcock, mountain hare, pine martens, otters, badgers, foxes, red and roe deer and moles.
