Only half an hour from Cherbourg, you will find yourself in the depths of the French countryside, yet only 5mins from the beautiful sandy beaches of the west Cotentin coast. Surrounded by fields the 2500 sq metres of mature garden may be the furthest you want to explore. There are nine different types of pine, poplar, willow, apple, pear, cherry, and fig trees and dozens of different shrubs, with enough room left over for some sporting activities or lazing in the sun all day. A barbecue and two sets of tables and chairs are provided.

Inspected and Selected by Alistair Sawday's "Special Places to Stay in France" Our south facing, traditional, longere has been completely renovated and is furnished, decorated and equipped to the highest standards whilst retaining its French charm. It has a large lounge with open fire, English television, radio/cd/cassette player. The fitted oak kitchen has full size oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and microwave. The dining room has an antique expanding table, which is made for French dining. The bathroom has a full size bath, two wash basins and a plumbed in washing machine and is next to separate wc. Two large double and one single bedrooms have co-ordinated bedding and you will find your beds made up and ready to use. Linen is provided! An extensive "Welcome Pack" allows you to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee, or take a glass of wine or cider, while you relax after your journey. Within 400 meters of the house, we have seen wild boar, deer, hares, foxes, buzzards, owls, woodpeckers and two different types of hawk.

Real Fire, Maid Service, House Linen. We have tried to make Les Sources a "second home" and have furnished it with proper ornaments, pictures and everything that makes it feel comfortable and welcoming.
Dining:
Seating for 8. The dining table will seat up to 12, so if you meet up with friends or make some new ones, let us know and we can bring more chairs.
Entertainment:
Satellite TV, Radio, CD System, Board Games. There are many outside games for use in the garden and we can even arrange croquet.
Outside:
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The garden has two main eating areas and has swings for the young or young at heart. If you catch the right weeks, you can help yourself to plums, apples, pears, figs etc.

Our comprehensive folder will tell you about the local markets, the pick of the restaurants, museums, gardens, beaches, ports, golf courses and all the numerous other activities. We think that every sporting, leisure or cultural activity can be found nearby. When you book, let us know where your interests lie and we will point you in the right direction.
Excursions Within easy striking distance, are some of the wonders of Normandy: Cherbourg – Shopping, museums galleries and the fabulous Cite de la Mer. Bayeux - If you can, visit the Cathedral and see the incredible tapestry. Mont St Michel - Spectacular when you first see it on the skyline and fascinating to wander through it’s narrow streets to the top of the ramparts. Arromanches – Here you can see part of the mulberry harbour designed to last for three months, still there after nearly sixty years. Festyland – Day out for the young ones near Caen. Jersey – Day trips from the nearby picturesque port of Carteret.
Rental Notes: To make sure that Les Sources is totally ready for you, we will personally meet you there from 16.00 on Saturdays, to make sure that you have everything you need, to show you around and answer any queries you may have. Departure time is 10.00 on Saturdays.
Short breaks, with flexible changeover days, are available off season at £130 for 3 nights. additonal nights £30.
We are only 10minutes from the property and our aim is to make your stay as memorable as possible. If you have any specific requests please let us know. Maid service and babysitting are available, on request.
