Garth Cottage is a Grade 2 Listed 17th/18th Century fisherman's cottage. Situated 200 yards from the beach in Bacton on the North Norfolk Coast, Garth Cottage is a real "chocolate box" house with roses around the door, brick and flint walls and a beautiful thatched roof. Inside there's original beams, latch doors, an original brick floor and an inglenook fireplace.

Local activities in and around North Walsham, East of England
The cottage is just 200 yards from a good beach which is open to dogs all year round. Blue Flag beach just a few miles away at Mundesley, Sea Palling or Cromer.
Bacton itself has a small selection of shops for daily provisions but is just a few miles from Stalham and North Walsham where full shopping facilities are offered.
Local woods offer good walking as does the coastline. Just 15 minutes from Cromer and 35 minutes from Great Yarmouth. The Norfolk Broads are just 10 minutes drive away.
Norwich is a 30 minute drive away also.
National Trust
There are many National Trust properties within easy reach of our cottages. Take a look at Horsey Mill, Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Blakeney Point
Norfolk has many windmills and drainage mills dotted around the landscape. Many are unloved but make stunning photographic subjects. There are a number that have been preserved and many are open to the public.
This is a working Steam railway running from Sheringham to Holt on around 10 miles of track. Take a day return on this stunning railway and go back in time.

This is an 18th Century cottage. It has slightly uneven floors downstairs, a small shower room and a tight set of spiral stairs over the inglenook fireplace. Charming though it is, I am afraid that it is not suitable for anyone who is not good on their feet. Please bear this in mind as I would hate for someone to not enjoy their holiday through a misunderstanding. If in doubt, please speak to us about any aspect of this or any of our other cottages.
