Avondale House, the home of Charles Stewart Parnell, is situated in Avondale Forest Park, Rathdrum, Co. Wicklow. Coillte completed a refurbishment programme restoring much of Avondale house to its decor of c. 1850. The House is now a museum to the memory of Charles Stewart Parnell, one of the greatest political leaders of modern Irish history (1846 - 1891).
Killruddery is unique in having one of the most extensive early formal gardens, still in their original style, surviving in Ireland, largely laid out in the 17th century and added to in the 19th century. The gardens at Killruddery are the oldest in Ireland.
This magnificent house and gardens is located a short drive from Ferncourt. Here you can enjoy a stroll in the gardens, dine in style or shop at some of the finest shops in Wicklow. This location is well worth a visit.

Booking Deposit: An immediate non-refundable booking deposit of €150 per property is required to secure booking. For holidays costing over €1500 a booking deposit of 10% is required. The balance of the payment is required not less than 6 weeks before arrival date.
Electricity: The charge for electricity is €5 per day in June, July & August and €8 per day for all other months.
Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit of €250 must be paid to the supervisor/caretaker on arrival. It is expected that the homes be left in a clean & tidy condition on departing. Failure to leave the accommodation in a clean and tidy condition may result in the loss of security deposit. When a rental is for longer than one week, cleaning of the house during rental must be requested from the on-site manager and a fee may apply.
