This lovely privately owned apartment is on a beautiful complex with a large swimming pool, separate children's pool and a children's adventure playground. It is situated just a short stroll from the wide, sandy beach and sleeps 6 with one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms this makes an ideal apartment for a family or for two couples to share.

The apartment is furnished with solid pine units, tiled floors throughout and ceiling fans in the lounge and both bedrooms. The spacious lounge is furnished wtih a large sofa bed, armchair, sideboard and coffee table. The dining area has a large pine table and seating for 6 people. There is a fully fitted open plan kitchen with oven, hob, fridge and washing machine - it is fully equipped for all your needs. In the lounge there is a TV, video player (with dozens of videos to choose from), a CD/tape/radio music system, numerous books and games for your entertainment.
Each bedroom has ample wardrobe space, ceiling fans and blackout blinds. There are two bathrooms - each comes with baths and showers. Patio doors lead from the lounge onto the terrace and small private garden, which is furnished with table, chairs and sunbeds.
From the terrace you overlook the beautiful gardens and pathway leading up to the swimming pools. This peaceful location has no through traffic and is therefore very safe for young children. There is a fabulous large open-air swimming pool with a bridge over surrounded by sun terraces with sunbeds and lovely gardens. There is a separate children’s pool and a children's adventure playground.
This unspoilt, tranquil area has many restaurants, bars, shops, banks and supermarkets all close by. the area is particulary suited to families and couples - the nightlife is quiet and therefore doesn't attract crowds of youngters.
Within a short drive of our apartment there are 3 new golf courses - including Desert Springs - Europe's only desert style course, Valle del Este and Marina de la Torre.
The surrounding area, with the historic villages of Mojácar, Garrucha, Vera, Turre and Los Gallardos, is steeped in Andalucian tradition just waiting to be explored.

This apartment is on the ground floor with no steps to negotiate in the apartment or in the complex itself. The surrounding are is flat and there is a lovely promenade for walks along the beach.
Local activities in and around Mojacar, Almeria
The Costa de Almeria is in the South East of Spain, between the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol. It is one of the warmest, driest regions of Spain with over 320 days of sunshine a year and has a unique landscape of wide open plains, imposing mountain ranges and excellent beaches. Almeria is an area steeped in Andalucian tradition and many of the local villages have weekly markets to visit.
The fishing village of Garrucha, with its many restaurants, bars, shops and a weekly market, is a lovely twenty minute stroll along the promenade from the apartments. You can relax in one of the many fresh fish restaurants and watch the local fishermen as they arrive with their daily catch.
Just along the coast from Garrucha is Mojacar Beach where you will find more wide, sandy beaches, some with watersports, and a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops. A drive up into the mountains brings you to the typically Andalucian Mojacar Village - a picturesque village with its narrow streets and architecture reflecting the Moorish influence over the centuries. There are shops selling antiques and jewellery, numerous restaurants and tapas bars. Many other towns and villages are well worth a drive through the stunning mountain scenery.
Almost the entire coast between Mojacar and Almeria is covered by the Cabo de Gata National Park - an extensive area of sand dunes, wetlands and salt marshes.
Within a short distance of the apartments you will find the new Vera Beach Club offering a variety of watersports; an Aqua Park - a great day out for all the family; tennis, boat/fishing trips; horse riding; microlight flights; go-karting and the Caves of Sorbas.
The Alhambra Palace in Granada or Mini-Hollywood (a wild-west town deep in the mountains) are both well worth a visit. There are a number of golf courses within a short drive of the apartments - Marina de la Torre, Cortijo Grande, Desert Springs - Europe’s first desert golf course and the newly opened Valle del Est.
