Surrounded by the stunning alpine scenery of the Portes du Soleil which boasts 650km of marked pistes, just 500m from the fast ski lift up to the high altitude slopes of Avoriaz, close to the summer activity hub of Morzine and the beautiful Lake Montriond, Rudechalets’ fresh and funky chalet accommodation provides the perfect mountain retreat.
The chalet is designed for maximum relaxation and enjoyment – There is a brand new outdoor hot tub; All bedrooms are ensuite with flat screen TVs/PS2/DVD/CD players and the lounge has comfy sofas and a 42” plasma screen. In the evening you can have a barbeque on the wooden sun terrace, use our well equipped kitchen to cook a hearty meal or head into the charming town of Mozine to sample the traditional Savoyade Fayre.
In the winter we rent out our chalet on a catered basis - prices include free return airport transfers from Geneva, continental breakfast, afternoon tea and cake, 3 course evening meal with unlimted local wines and a one day mountain hosting service.
In the summer we rent out our chalet on a self catered, weekly basis with a resident chalet host who will be on hand to advise upon and organise activities/excursions and if required provide an airport/in-resort taxi service.
There are seven ensuite bedrooms all themed around different extreme sports with in-room flat screen TVs/PS2/DVD/CD players; The open plan lounge has been designed for maximum relaxation and enjoyment with comfy sofas, giant cushions, a 42” plasma screen and an extensive selection of DVDs; The kitchen is fully equipped with 3 oven/6 hob Rangemaster cooker, SMEG fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher; And for maximum relaxation there is a sun terrace with deck chairs and an extensive garden which runs down to a babbling mountain stream.
Rudechalets is ideally situated in the petty village of En Ly (5 mins drive from the centre of Morzine), just 500m from the Avoriaz cable car – which provides access to the Portes du Soleil’s 600km of skiing, hiking and mountain biking trails. Morzine is a 1 hour transfer from Geneva which is serviced by many of the low-cost airlines, and is only 9 hours drive from Calais making it extremely popular for self drives.

Morzine offers a diverse range of mountain activities including ski/snowboaring, World Class Mountain biking, white water rafting, picturesque hikes and tranquil lakeside bathing. On the Proclou plateau you can find a breath taking golf course with clear views of the Haut-Chablais summits and down in to the spruce forests, and the recent Parc des Sports development boasts 12 open air tennis courts, 2 outdoor swimming pools, squash, a fully equipped gym, sauna, solarium, as well as a choice of fitness classes.
Mountain biking: The Porte du Soleil region offers World Class mountain biking terrain with over 580Km of marked trails and an extensive lift system which is open all summer. It’s an X-country and Freeriders paradise with hundreds of miles of single and fire-track trails which criss-cross the beautiful alpine terrain between France and Switzerland. For Downhillers there are loads of both man-made and natural courses with jumps, drops, padded trees, berms and banked corners.
Extreme sports: You can kayak or white water raft the challenging alpine rivers, climb some of the infamous faces in the Aguille du Midi, witness the aerial mountain beauty from a parapent or experience the adrenaline high of a 120m bungee jump – located only 2 hours away in Grenoble. There is even a skate park with a huge half pipe, a rideable quarter pipe and a range of skate obstacles on beautifully smooth tarmac, perfect for practicing your kick flips!
