Still availability for summer, long lets considered. This self catering apartment 'really' is situated within easy walking distance of the beach. It is ideal for families and is on a secure complex with a small children's play area and a lovely communal pool. It is fully furnished with 2 bedrooms and sleeps up to five people. There are many Spanish villages and towns within easy reach, by car or public bus. There is a water sports centre, with equipment hire on the beach, next to the Valle del Este Beach Club & Restaurant. Other bars and restaurants, within walking distance, are scattered along the beach most being open into the night, during the peak season. The complex is just a short a short walk from the superb blue flag beach of Vera Playa. During the peak season the beach is regularly patrolled by lifeguards, making this an ideal and safe place for family holidays. There are two bedrooms, one double, one twin bedded, both with large fitted wardrobes, a baby cot and high chair can be arranged on request. There is a fully fitted kitchen, and a utility room with washing machine and microwave. The double bedroom has a safe fitted in the wardrobe.
The lounge diner has a settee with a pull-out bed underneath, armchair, coffee table, dining room table with 4 chairs, TV, video, sky and a music system. There is a beautiful balcony off the lounge with table and chairs. This is an ideal place for breakfast, lunch etc, as it has the sun for most of the day. There is also a large, private roof terrace complete with barbecue, shower and sun loungers. This a good place to relax and admire the lovely views of the sea.
The only water park in the area is just a 100m away. There is pony trekking, quad biking and cycle hire available locally. An Internet café/bar is a short walk away, in the nearby Puerto Ray shopping centre, which also has a variety of small shops, bars, banks and a supermarket. A large supermarket is the other side of the water park with a wide range of products.
There are four golf courses just short driving distances away, although the new golf driving range is within easy walking distance of the apartment at Puerto Rey. The local golf courses are: Club de Golf Cortijo Grande, with its elegant Andalucian style clubhouse and Club Marina Golf Mojacar which has greens right down to the sea. Close to Vera is the spectacular Desert Springs Golf Club, a true Arizona desert style course and the Valle del Este is a short drive away. Local activities in and around Vera Playa, Almeria
There are many small typical Spanish villages & towns in the area and the apartment is only 100 metres away from the only water park in the area. A short drive away brings you to the beautiful fishing town of Garrucha. Here you will find a vast array of restaurants, mostly specializing in fish, although meat dishes including fine steaks and paella are also widely available. There are Chinese restaurants, pizza restaurants and a wide choice of small Spanish cafes. There is a fish market most evenings at the harbour from about 5pm. Here you can see the fish landed and being auctioned for the restaurants. In the town itself there are plenty of supermarkets, general gift shops and banks with cash machines.
Further on from Garrucha, you will find Mojacar Playa. This is a large area comprising of lots of bars and restaurants and stretches the whole length of the beach. Here you will find everything you could possibly need from Chinese and Indian restaurants, to Italian and Mexican restaurants. There is a large enclosed shopping centre situated on the main roundabout at Mojacar with a large supermarket underneath, as well as a variety of shops and more cafes on the other two levels.
Above the beach you will find the beautiful area of Mojacar Pueblo. This is a very old and quaint town with cobbled streets and a weekly market. There are further restaurants, bars and shops hidden in these streets and the views are spectacular. This is an area to be highly recommended.
If you drive in the opposite direction you wil arrive at the small fishing village of Villaricos. There are sandy beaches here, two harbours and diving is available. There are reasonably priced restaurants and bars here, a very nice one situated at the first harbour and offers a choice of fish dishes. Like many of the other areas, there is a Sunday market here and a beautiful church.
Easy driving from all 3 airports. Motorway all the way, new toll road from Murcia airport making this airport now very accessible.
