One senses the magic the moment you enter the vineyard. The entrance is lined with ancient cypress trees and you are greeted with an abundance of floral delights everywhere you look as you approach the house. Goethe’s Tuscany.
Giovanna, a winegrower with charisma, has left the original structure of the property as it was. None of the spacious rooms has been changed. The meter thick walls are still intact.
"The house and I have become friends," she says modestly. The result is unique. Red or natural coloured walls harmonize with the knotted wooden beams, roof tiles and the earth coloured original terracotta floors.

A large living /kitchen area with a fireplace is part of the apartment. The apartmentis furnished with antique furniture and wrought iron beds that lend to the flair of the house. The combination of ancient walls, furnishings and views equal to those in a picture book makes this property delightful.
There is a fascinating mixture of original floors, high ceilings, chestnut beams, fireplaces and terracotta floors.
One room is reserved for food tasting, another is furnished as a living room where one may read, talk or play. A sun filled room with wooden floors and large windows acts as Giovanna’s yoga and dance room. Her guests, of course may also use this if they wish. Bring your music along; listen to your CDs or cassettes without being disturbed.
Next to the dance room there is a very well maintained indoor heated pool and lounge. In the summer you will enjoy its cool waters and in the winter you will be pleased that the room and the pool are both heated.
The large French doors open onto the garden. The large garden with cypress and olive trees, sunflowers and vines captivate you gaze. It is quiet, mystical and magical here. Enjoy the wonderful atmospheric evenings with a glass of wine from the cellars of Pacina.

Local activities in and around Siena, Tuscany
If you like good wine, you should travel deeper into Chianti territory to Greve, Castellina or Radda and taste the wines at the Enothekes, or visit one of the vineyards. A great excursion is a trip to the cities of Colle di Vall d'Elsa, Volterra and San Gimignano. Below Siena lies the mystical, magical church San Galgano that was never finished. It stands tall and proud in the landscape nonetheless. Florence, Perugia, Montepulciano, Montalcino, and St. Quirico d'Orcia are all approximately one hour's drive away. We also recommend a trip to the sea.
Rental Notes: Accommodation weeks usually run from Saturday to Saturday and include linen, water, electricity, and gas unless otherwise stated.
The heating costs and housekeeping fees are paid directly to the landlord and are dependent on usage please be aware heating costs are expensive in Italy.
Almost all landlords require a security deposit between 100 € and 250 €. The full balance of the deposit will be returned at the end of stay provided that the property is in the same condition as when you arrived and there are no damaged/ broken items. All linens should be returned in the same number and conditions on departure if they are not the landlords have the right to keep the deposit at their discretion.
