This is a lovely house in the sleepy village of Gurnard, only a ten minute stroll to the sea. We strongly recommend this house for families or a large group with some wanting their own privacy.
The main house has a lovely secluded garden, some 200 feet long at the rear, is not overlooked and is excellent for entertaining on the landscaped patio with decking area. The accomodation is very versatile, with four bedrooms sleeping up to 8 in the main house, and a two storey one bedroom annexe adjoining. We have been in the travel business for many years in one way or another and feel that we want the house to be the kind of property that we would rent for our own holidays. 2009 will be our 6th season and we are continually updating and decorating the house for it to be as comfortable as possible for our guests. We have enjoyed a busy summer and would like to thank all the guests that have stayed for their kind comments regarding the house.

1 Bathroom, 2 Showers, 1 Separate WC. Bathroom in the main house has been upgraded with claw foot bath and 'Rainhead' shower, there are two further shower rooms, one in the main house and one in the annexe.

Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. One fridge freezer is located in the main house, and one is in the kitchen of the annexe

We must advise that a small dog resides in the house when NOT rented, the owners have all carpets professionally cleaned before letting commences, all the ground floor has wooden flooring and tiles.
Local activities in and around Cowes, South
The local beach is only a ten minute stroll away and offers a lovely Cafe which serves good food. Cowes town centre is a 20 minute walk or a 3 minute drive by car. Newport is 4 miles away. Cowes itself has many sailing events including Round the Island Race at the end of June and the world famous Cowes Week in August, watch the boats whizz past on the green at Gurnard, only 10 minutes stroll from the house!
There are some great restaurants in Cowes itself, or why not get in the car and try out some different ones around the island? The Isle of Wight can be a great destination for people from all walks of life; familes try out one of our blue flag beaches, Cowes and Gurnard beaches themselves have Seaside Awards, Black Gang Chine and Robin Hill theme parks open from March until October and they will let you visit for free if you return within 7 days!
There are castles with donkeys, Roman villas, Tiger sanctuaries, windmills, even a festival of garlic to be enjoyed!!
Whatever you are coming over to the island for, a quiet relaxing time enjoying a 'g and t' in the garden, or having a barbeque at the beach, you will come back for more!!
