The property is located in a wine growing area in a rural village called Pouzolles which is half an hour inland from the Mediterranean and half an hour away from the Languedoc National Park. The property has a private swimming pool in its courtyard and can accommodate up to eight/ten people in its four bedrooms. It is however a house that is equally comfortable with just one family group. There is an elevated terrace for dining
The property has been refurbished but old features have been retained. The house is close to all the village amenities –bar/cafe, baker, post office, newsagent, general shop, hairdresser, market square, park, boules areas. Fifteen/twenty minutes away you can go swimming in rivers or lakes, shopping in a main city like Beziers or follow the cultural tourist route in Pezenas.
Accommodation starts on the first floor (our garage area is the bulk of the ground floor) and you arrive at the front door by crossing the courtyard and going up the external stone steps. On this floor there is the kitchen, sitting room, triple bedroom, WC, dining room and elevated terrace overlooking the pool.
The second floor has two en suite bedrooms, the main bathroom and one further bedroom.
All rooms are a good size and have french windows and shutters and a tiny balcony, high ceilings and double doors giving the house a very airy feel. Floors are tiled throughout. These tiles are all original and are more decorative in the downstairs hallway and sitting room.
Ryan Air airports nearby are Montpellier, Carcassonne, Perpignan and Girona in Spain with scheduled flights to Toulouse and Montpellier.

The two double rooms have ceiling fans and small desktop fans are available for the other rooms.

Seating for 8. The dining room has a dining table seating 8/10 and has french doors that lead onto the elevated terrace where there is an outdoor table that can seat 8/10.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, Video, Radio, CD System, Board Games, Table Tennis. We also have a DVD. The video selection is basically for children. Please bring some of your own. The tv is french tv only.
Outside:
Private Pool, Terrace, BBQ, Parking, Balcony, Garden Furniture. Elevated terrace for dining up at first floor level. Pool is fenced off and measures 7.3m x 3.5m. Courtyard is gravelled and is roughly 10m by 13m. Car parking outside the large double gates.

The house has external steps to get to front door from courtyard and again internal steps up to next floor.
Local activities in and around Pezenas, Languedoc-Roussillon
100 yards up the road is a boules area which recently seems to have become a bit overgrown so use the main central area instead. Take the boules out of the cupboard in the summer kitchen and enjoy with a bottle of wine! In the centre of the village is the main boules area and small playpark for under 7s with plenty of shaded seating. Every friday you will see the local villagers having a barbecue and dance here. There are lots of local wine establishments to visit (on foot!) - the main Cooperative on the main road and Domaine de l'Arjolle on the High Road round the village. There is one bar/restaurant near the main square area and other restaurants can be found 5 minutes away (by car) in Margon and Roujan or 10 minutes away in Magalas. There is good walking in and around the village as well as cycling.
Pezenas at 15 minutes away is a great place to visit day and night. Saturday is market day and one night a week the shops are open late allowing you to stroll around of an evening. Pezenas has a real arty feel to it with countless galleries and references to the french playwright Moliere who was born there. You will find open air theatre productions and street performers.
You then have gorges, rivers and rock pools to visit as well as Montpellier, Nimes etc.
