The Costa de Almeria is located in the South East of Spain, between the Costa Blanca and the Costa del Sol. One of the warmest and driest regions of Spain, with over 320 days of sunshine a year, it has a unique landscape of wide open plains, imposing mountain ranges and excellent unspoilt beaches.
Casa Shelley has its own small private garden which directly overlooks the beautiful large swimming pool with bridge children's adventure play area. This is ideal whilst sunbathing as you can easily watch the children in the pool and at play!

The garden is compact with its own private shaded terrace. Leading from the terrace into the house through the patio doors is the lounge, equipped with a UK Sat TV, DVD, CD player and comfortable sofa bed. The lounge leads onto the dining area, with table to seat 6.
Also on the lower level is the downstairs shower room and toilet. A lovely fully equipped kitchen leads off of the lounge fitted with oven, hob, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and all necessary utensils.
The stairs lead up to the 1st floor, which contains one double bedroom with private patio area over looking the pool and one twin bedroom, along with an additional bathroom with shower.
What's on Offer: The facilities at Playas del Sur consist of a large open-air swimming pool with a separate children's pool surrounded by sun terraces, gardens and fountains.
The long sandy beach is just a 5 minute stroll away - it stretches for miles and is never crowded. A further 20 minute stroll will take you to a naturist beach. Set around the area you will find a selection of shops and supermarkets, two tennis courts, a bank, a roast chicken take-away and numerous bars and restaurants. Also for a small charge the use of the leisure club nearby, with indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and gymnasium.
Please note: It has been brought to our attention that during off peak times (November - March) the swimming pool may not be open. This is due to Spanish Law. It is required that there be a life guard present and during low season the life guard is not available, therefore the pool is closed. This is for clients own safety. There is an indoor swimming pool available for a small charge within a 2 minute walk and there is also the sea which is a 3-5 minute walk.

Golf For keen golfers there are three golf courses in the area, the first on the mountain, which is a nine-hole golf course in Cortijo Grande. Two new courses in the area: Desert Springs Golf Club 6179 metres, Par 72, this is the first desert golf course in Europe, and is built to the standard of the famous desert course in Arizona. Also Marina de la Torre 5700 metres, Par 72, positioned opposite the beach in Mojacar's this course attracts golfers looking for that new challenge. Split into two distinct nine holes on either side of the hill, overlooking the beach and sea.
Aqua Vera
On over 70.000 m2, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the best attractions that your mind can imgine. There is a self-service cafeteria, bar, cloakrooms, changing rooms, showers and deposit boxes for any valuables. Floats, sunbeds, air mattresses and all you need to spend a really complete day of amusement. In the giftshop you will find everthing you need ... from films and souveniers to suntan products and swimwear. You can take you own packed lunch but the park does not allow glass.
Mini Hollywood & Reserva Zoologica
There was a time, though, when the Spanish film industry was less bouyant, but the country itself was much in demand for locations - Lawrence of Arabia, Cleopatra, Doctor Zhivago ....The golden ager of film-set Spain was the sixties and its capital was Almeria. The nearby Tabernas desert, the only true desert in Europe, was a magnet to film producers, and a number of the sets that were used at the time can now be visited.
The wildpark with iberian and African Fauna with more of 100 species gathered in the park. The entrance you will visit the Birds area with a collection of exotic birds. There is an assortment of more than 40 types of Reptilien; the Crocodile pond; the felines place and funny zoo for children.

There are a host of local markets so you can shop on Tuesday at Los Gallardos or the Cuevas del Almanzora; Wednesday at Pulpi or Mojacar; Thursday at Carboneras, Sorbas or Cuevas del Almanzora; Friday at Turre or Garrucha and Satuday at Garrucha!!
Sorbas Caves
Nature Sport doesn't exactly offer a Jules Verne-style journey to the centre of the earth, although it's not that far off. You'll spend hours marvelling at the Sorbas Caves' karst rock formations. The possibilities depend on the individual; from exploded caves that are no danger, to virtually unchartered chasms and galleries.
Desert Springs Golf Club
The Indiana is the first and only desert Golf Course in Europe and has been built to the USGA specifications and quality standards of the now famous desert courses of Arizona and California.
