It provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the culture and cuisine of Tuscany. The Villa overlooks hanging gardens and provides sweeping views of the Pania dell’Croce. Florence, San Gimignano and Pisa are within easy reach, and local Barga is a beautiful, medieval hilltop town.
The historic home of the Pieroni family, famous in Boston for their restaurant empire during the ‘Great Gatsby’ era, has been restored with great care. Painted wall frescos, marble staircases and period furniture blend luxury and heritage.
Guests at Villa Pieroni enjoy the use of a newly-refurbished private swimming pool, table tennis and barbeque facilities. The ground floor contains an historic salon where guests can dine in style, watch television or DVDs, or listen to music on the stereo system.

2 Bathrooms, 3 Showers. The master bathroom includes a free-standing bath, and sweeping views over the Serchio valley. One of the bathroom is en-suite.

Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The stylish kitchen has been newly installed and includes also an espresso & cappuccino machine; it leads onto two extra dining room, one of them with an open log fire, and a separate laundry room.

Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided. Electricity, gas, water, taxes and once a week cleaning is also included. Additional supplement of Euros 60 per day for heating during winter months.
Dining:
Guests can dine in style in the grand and luxurious main salon. This large-scale room is perfect for dinner parties and entertaining. The long - adjustable table can seat up to 25 people!

Terrestrial TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System, Table Tennis. The pool has a salt-water system. We provide toys for children. In the garden guest can enjoy the use of a traditional wood burning oven for homemade bread & pizzas with a little help from our cook!

Local activities in and around Barga, Tuscany
Situated in the beautiful Barga countryside, Villa Pieroni is an ideal base for hill walking, horse riding, golf and wine tours. The beach at Viareggio is a short drive as is the famous cave network, Grotta del Vento. Medieval Barga is renowned for art and antique shopping, regional cuisine and jazz.
Fine wines and local produce can be found in the several 'botteghe' where you can taste your food and wine before buying it! Open air markets and several food and wine festivals take place during the spring and summer months. Historic Lucca lies 30 minutes away, and provides luxury brand shopping. The birthplace of Puccini, Lucca is a focal point for opera lovers and has an opera season every June. Every July and August the Puccini festival takes place at Torre del Lago, just 10 minutes from Lucca.
During the winter months the skiing resort of the Abetone is a fantastic place to enjoy the slopes - 45 minutes away by car. Also within easy reach, guests can visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Florence and San Gimignano.

Rental Notes: Rentals run from Saturday to Saturday. The keys to the property are handed over between 4pm and 7pm on the day of arrival and must be handed back between 8am and 10am on the day of departure. A representative of the owners lives in a neighbouring villa to welcome guests and in cases of emergency.
