One of 4 individual rental properties sitting in a small peaceful hamlet of Deuville just outside Cognac in South West France. Formed around a traditional Charentaise farmhouse, the accommodation has been created through the sympathetic conversion of a former distillery and the old cognac storage barns. The buildings stand in 2 1/2 acres of landscaped gardens and parkland and are bordered on all sides by vines. The perfect place to relax and unwind.

The Lounge
L'Ancienne Distillerie has been developed to provide the highest standard of accommodation and on site facilities whilst retaining the original charm and character of the old buildings. The result is 4 independent properties with a wealth of exposed stonework and beams and all the facilities required for that perfect holiday. The properties sleep 8, 6, 4 and 2, and can be rented individually or together. Details given are for 'Martell' sleeping 4. Martell was created from an old barn, well room and wine storage vats giving it a unique character. It is entered through a covered private courtyard hidden behind wrought iron trellis work.
The main living area is open plan and incorporates a modern kitchen, comfortable armchairs and a dining table. From the lounge area there is access to the private patio which is furnished with a table and chairs.
The property is single storey on the ground floor.
Whilst the property has only been available to rent since May 2005 we have already had wonderful feedback from our early guests

Whilst not specifically adapted for wheelchairs the property is on the ground floor and the site is wheel chair friendly with ramps etc. Parking is also possible right at the front door. As such the property is ideal for people with walking difficulties.
