Woodlands - Luxury Large Holiday Cottage to sleep 10/12 + 2
Cottage with 5 Bedrooms, Sleeps 12, Garden
Nestled at the foot of the Five Sisters of Kintail in a glen that boasts no fewer than twenty one Munros, Woodlands enjoys the best of both worlds being in a remote location yet having a shop, bar and restaurant all within walking distance. This spacious house sleeps 10/12 + 2 children extremely comfortably and has 4 bath and/or shower rooms. In one of the outbuildings there is a pool table and dart board.
Woodlands is a fantastic base for climbers, walkers and tourers. Apart from the multitude of Munros in Glenshiel itself (Five Sisters and Saddle being accessed directly from the house) there's a whole host of other walks to do including coastal, valley and woodland. Other mountain ranges reachable from Woodlands are the Cuillen hills, Ben Nevis range, Glen Affric, Glenelg and Knoydart. In addition, Glencoe and Torridon are about two hours away.
Woodlands is also extremely well-placed for touring the Highlands and Islands. Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Applecross accessed via the highest road in Scotland or take a cruise along Loch Ness and visit Urquhart Castle. Closer to home there is the glorious Glenelg peninsular, the delightful Plockton or you may fancy going over the sea to Skye. Take a seal trip, sail in a glass-bottomed boat, go boating, pony trekking, mackarel fishing or just relax in the house and enjoy the views.
