Situated on the coast approximately 40 minutes from Malaga Airport. By day, try a leisurely stroll along the - now famous - Balcon de Europa, paved with mozaic and lined with flower beds and palm trees, or sit at a roadside cafe in the old square beside the San Salvador church.
With its maze of cobbled streets offering boutiques, fine shops, bars and restaurants, Nerja comes to life in the evenings. Nerja has no less than five wonderful sandy beaches (Burriana Beach is 1.5 Km walk), which is just as well because the Costa del Sol boasts the best climate in mainland Spain, with less rainfall and high rates of year round sunshine.
Further afield, visit the mountain villages of Frigliana and Competa, the Alhambra Palace at Granada, or just two hours away take to the slopes and ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
