Nearby attractions include leisure lake, horse riding, golf, paintballing in large chateau, lovely for walks and leisurely cycling. Close to Grand parc Puy du Fou with regular spectacular evening medieval show, Futuroscope. We are sure you will find there is something for everyone.

Lots to do and see in the area, including relaxing country walks and bike rides, historical Chateaus and castles to visit, Mervent forest which has a family fun park and Zoo.lovely forest walks and cycling with plenty of cycle hire outlets. Mervent also has a large a large leisure lake with Boating and Fishing and even a small man made beach with beachside Cafe/bar.There are plenty of indoor and outdoor pools nearby and lovely shopping in the quaint towns and markets. horse/pony riding centres, canal gondola trips (you can hire your own if feeling energetic)and canoeing are also nearby. Vouvant, the "Village of artists" is 15 mins away and has ongoing art exhibitions throughout the summer and you. The village was built on an ancient fortifiaction and you can still walk along the ramparts which drop down to the picturesque winding river.
50 mins and you are on the fabulous clean atlantic beaches of the area. Grand medieval park Puy du Fou with spectacular daytime and evening shows, and Futuroscope are both around 1 hour.The Village itself has historical interest it was the Birthplace and home of French leaders of 1st and 2nd world war,the museum is in the village.
