Located right on the beach at Valderaenas, the beach on the Lake of Iznajar yet still within walking distance of shops bars and all the amenities of the picturesque 'pueblo blanco' of Iznajar, Villa Almendras is a fantastic location for your holiday.
This beautiful Spanish Hilltop Town remains untouched by tourism and is an excellent base in which to explore this beautiful area of Andalucia. The historic cities of Granada, Malaga and Cordoba are all within one hours drive and Seville is less than 2 hours away. The area is ideal for bird-watching, mountain-biking and walking, with many trails around the lakeside and surrounding mountains.

Local activities in and around Lucena, Northern Andalucia
Accessible via two bridges, Iznajar is is almost entirely surrounded by the Lake of Andalucia, a reservoir stretching out for over 20 miles which offers world-class fishing, water sports and a beautifully clean beach. The water in the lake is warm in the summer months and wonderful for swimming. The area is surrounded by an abundance of interesting and historical villages and towns and Iznajar itself boasts one of the oldest Moorish Castles in the region as well as ancient churches and an historic library.
To eat out in the area you are spoiled for choice as Iznajar and the surrounding area has a wealth of traditional tapas bars and restaurants. The prime location of Villa Almendras directly on the lake of Iznajar, whilst still close to the amineties of the pueblo blanco of Iznajar makes it an ideal place to spend your holidays. Traditional tapas bars and fresh local shopping are just 2 minutes by car, whilst there is a beach bar /restaurant just a short walk, and several other bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The shores of the lake are literally right on your doorstep!
