The 16th Century, picturesque village of Valldemossa, famed for its Carthusian monastery where Chopin and Georges Sand stayed in 1838, is one of the most beautiful villages on the island, surrounded by spectacular mountain views of the Sierra Tramuntana range. Here you may enjoy the comforts of this house in perfect peace and a magical setting, far away from the madding crowds.
The house offered surrounds a central courtyard with a raised pond and fountain, in quiet and rural surroundings, at the foot of the Son Moragues Natural Mountain Park. There are extensive patios, a lusciously shaded arbor with seating, dining table and Barbeque. The large garden has a rockery, wild life pond, trees, lawn and many lovely spots where you can sit, relax and gaze at the surrounding beauty. Within a short and lovely stroll along the lane amid olive groves, you may look down on the ancient fishing (and smuggling) settlement of Puerto Valldemossa at the foot of impressive cliffs.
The house is light, airy and spacious. There is a large comfortable living room which gives access to a beamed porch, where there is further seating looking out to the garden. The dining room is separate and furnished in typical Majorcan style with thru´ arches to the rest of the house. The kitchen is fully fitted with modern appliances (except dishwasher) has a dining area, a walk in larder, and a good working area which overlooks the courtyard, with a stable door giving access to it. There are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed and the other two, twin beds. There are two bathrooms, one has a full sized bath with shower, bidet, sink, W.C. and the other only a shower, sink and W.C. Both are tiled and attractive. In all, the house has character, there are wood beams and archways throughout. The swimming pool is 7 metres by 7 metres and there is also a roof patio where you can enjoy your aperitifs watching the sun go down on the mountains.

Local activities in and around Valldemossa, Mallorca
Valldemossa has easy access to all parts of the island. There are many restaurants in all price ranges including the exclusive Valldemossa Hotel. There is a small well stocked supermarket, excellent bakers, banks, pharmacy and other stores selling clothing, jewellery, artwork and gifts. Sundays there is a Market. The romantic old Valldemossa monastery, the Palace of King Sancho, and Michael Douglas´s Costa Nord cultural centre provide interesting excursions, along with Miramar and Son Marroig 4/5 kms. away. Puerto Valldemossa also, not only offers an excellent seafood restaurant overlooking the sea, but superb swimming and snorkelling in crystal clear waters, and is only ´just down the road´. Deya, once home to the poet Robert Graves, is a mere 10 minutes drive and abounds with restaurants, the famous La Residencia Hotel, and a bohemian night life. There are also many classical and jazz concerts in both villages, especially during the summer months. The nearest and very attractively located Son Termens Golf Club (l8 holes) is a 12 minute drive from the house.
Rental Notes: Normally the house is available during July, August, September (unless special request is made) when the price is1,200 euros per week for 4 guests occupying 2 bedrooms, and 1,400 euros per week for 5/6 guests occupying 3 bedrooms. Prices have been radically adjusted to help cope with the 'world crisis'. The change over day is flexible, checking in after 1600 hours and checking out by 1000 hours. The house is cleaned once a week and the linen and towels changed. A deposit of 500 Euros (non-refundable) per week of your stay is made payable at time of booking, and the remainder is paid 2 months before your arrival.
