The Cottage offers one double bedroom and one spacious twin bedded attic room. The rooms come supplied with luxurious bedding to ensure you have a comfortable and luxurious stay. A few extra's are also provided to pamper yourself on your relaxing break. The wood beamed living room has a romantic log burning stove in its original stone fireplace. The room is comfortably furnished with seating for four people. A television, stereo and freeview are also available.
The kitchen is fully equiped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge with freezer department and a microwave. There is also a wide range of cooking dishes, pans and utensils provided. The cottage also benefits from gas central heating. We warmly welcome families at Hilltop Cottage. A cot, highchair and stairgate are available on request at no extra cost. We are also happy to accomodate parties of up to four people and couples.
The location of Hilltop Cottage provides an excellent base for many attractions and activities appealing to a wide range af guests. Families can make use of the High Peak Trail, within walking distance of the cottage, which provides a safe environment and stunning scenery for walking and cycling. Carsington water also provides walking and cycling along with a large range of water sports. For guests wanting a more relaxed holiday there are stately homes and gardens to visit and a number of tea rooms offering a tasty afternoon tea! Brochures are supplied at the cottage for all the local attractions and events in and around derbyshire. Laminated maps and OS Maps are alo available to use during your stay.

Real Fire, Central Heating, House Linen, Towels Provided. There are no extra charges for heating and electric. All the facilities are included in the rental price.

Seating for 4. A folding table and chairs are provided. A highchair is also available at the cottage for our younger guests, along with plastic cups and plates.

Local activities in and around Wirksworth, Heart of England
The village has two pubs, The Rising Sun, serving food. There is a post office 200yards away, offering a small range of essential groceries and daily papers. Wirksworth is less than two miles from Middleton, where there is a choice of bars, restaurants, tea rooms and various shops.
Family attractions include the Crich Tramway Village, Gullivers Kingdom, the Heights of Abraham, Alton Towers and many more. Visit one of the many farmers markets and craft fairs in the area. There are a number of walking festivals throughout the year aswell as ranger,historical and nature walks. Derbyshire also has a number of stately homes and gardens from various periods in history, all worth a visit.
