With access to stunning scenery and country walks, this cottage offers peace and tranquility from every day life. The village offers access to a number of great holiday activities for everyone.

Within a short walk of the cottage you reach the High Peak Trail, a disused railway, now a track used by cyclists, walkers and horse riders. A ten minute drive takes you to Carsington Water, offering water sports, cycling, birdwatching and a restaurant overlooking the reservoir and the surrounding area. The town of Wirksworth nestles below Middleton providing shops, restaurants and is also home to the Wirksworth Heritage centre. A drive slightly further a field takes you to the small towns of Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock, allowing you to sample further delights of the peak district and its heritage.
The facilities include one double bedroom and an airy and spacious twin bedded attic room. The wood beamed living room has a log burning fire, colour T.V with video and stereo. The kitchen is fully equiped with cooker, dishwasher, washer dryer, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. The cottage also benefits from gas central heating. A cot High chair and stairgate are also provided.

The village has two pubs, both serving food. There is a post office 200yards away. Wirksworth is less than two miles from Middleton, where there is a choice of bars, restaurants, tea rooms and various shops.
Family attractions include the Crich Tramway Village, Gullivers Kingdom, the Heights of Abraham, Alton Towers and many more.
Take the opportunity to visit the Matlock Bath Venetian nights and Illuminations that start 30th August and run through to October 25th 2008.
Visit one of the many farmers markets and craft fairs in the area.
There are a number of walking festivals throughout the years aswell as ranger,historical and nature walks.
