Admiral Cottage is located in the upper part of Boscastle in the old 'High Street' and close to Paradise! Just opposite is the characterful 16thc Napoleon Inn and the stylish Bottreaux Restaurant. It is an easy walk across to the coast path, or down Fore Street with its pretty cottages to the harbour area. It is a short drive to some of the best-known surfing beaches on the North Cornish coast for example Widemouth, Plzeath and Trebarwith Strand. For the experts Nequay is a 40 minute drive!
Admiral Cottage is a traditional 17thc cottage and has an olde world atmosphere. It is comfortably furnished and is suitable for family holidays, or spacious out of season for a couple. We can offer flexibility on dates and prices!

Admiral Cottage sleeps 4/5 in a double bedroom, single bedroom with sturdy pull-out drawer bed, and a bunk bedroom. There is a futon in the living room for additional flexibility. double It is an upside-down cottage so the bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor accessed by the front door. Upstairs there is a spacious living/dining room with beams and wood-burning stove.
There is a good selection of books, videos and boardgames and a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine. The utility room leads out to the pretty garden with views towards the cliffs and Forrabury Church as featured in the BBC2 programme, A Seaside Parish. A path leads to the private off-street parking. If you wish to sleep up to 8 people we also own the adjoining cottage, Tamarisk Cottage, which is linked on the first floor.

Local activities in and around Boscastle, South West
There are many pretty country and coastal walks within easy access of the cottage. The nearest surfing/family beach is at Trebarwith Strand, just 12 minutes' drive away. Slightly further are Widemouth Bay towards Bude (to the north) and Polzeath Beach to the south. Pony trekking is available very close to the village. Boscastle offers a variety of dining/drinking possibilities at the Napoleon, Bottreaux Restaurant, the Wellington Hotel, and the Cobweb Inn. There are singsongs at the Welly, and occasionally live music at the Nappy! There are several NT houses within easy driving distance of Boscastle. The Eden Project and the lost gardens of Heligan are approximately 50 mins away.

Rental Notes: Changeover day at Admiral Cottage is a Friday unless by prior arrangement. Our caretaker is available at all times should you have any queries about the cottage. Guests may arrive from 3.30pm and leave the property by 10.30am on the day of departure. Pets are welcome by arrangement and at an extra charge of £20 per week. Linen/towels can be provided at £8 per person. There is a charge for electricity/heating. This will vary according to low/mid/high season. We can provide a travel cot, high chair, toddler's chair. We can also offer a Basic Provisions Pack and Luxury Pack for romantic weekends.
