This luxury modern styled non smoking, centrally heated double glazed 3 bed lodge is situated on the prestigious South Lakeland Leisure Park at the gateway to the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales. Leisure Centre available on site.
The lodge consists of 1 double bedroom with en-suite shower and loo, 2 twin bedrooms, bathroom and open plan living/kitchen/dining area and veranda with seating for 6 and a gas barbeque.
The lounge area contains a top quality Bose entertainment system consisting of media centre complete with DVD/CD/radio/stored music and surround sound system. The 37 inch LCD TV screen is complete with freeview / freesat viewing and is built into the wall above the contemporary pebble fire place. Bedroom 1 enjoys LCD TV complete with freeview. For rainy days there is a collection of DVDs to take full advantage of the superior quality of the entertainment system and a selection of board games.
The dining area tale seats 6 with ease and leads onto the spacious veranda complete with table and chairs. There is a small breakfast bar with 2 comfortable stools. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, cutlery, pots, pans and utensils. The bathroom has a stylish corner bath and heated towel rail.
On site the Leisure Centre includes a swimming pool, steam room, newly upgraded gymnasium for 2008, fitness studio and beauty therapy rooms. The gymnasium overlooks the pool and leads onto the outside terrace area. We have negotiated a discounted rate for the Leisure Centre for anyone who wants to book in advance - please ask. There is one bar/restaurant - the Waters Edge bar and restaurant serves excellent food and can be recommended. The Waters Edge also has an outside terrace area which overlooks the lake and beach area and is ideal for sitting out on a warm day with a glass of wine whilst watching the children play on the beach. You can enjoy windsurfing sailing or kayaking on the lake using your own craft - non motorised activities only.
Please note that the lodge is a no smoking lodge and pets are not allowed.

Local activities in and around Carnforth, North
You are on the doorstep of both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales and only a few miles away from Silverdale and Arnside which has been designated an Area of Oustanding Natural Beauty. Within the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales the opportunities for walking, cycling, sailing, fishing, golf, climbing and bird watching are limitless. There are folders available in the Lodge containing details of attractions within the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.
The local area is characterised by its limestone crags and pavements, woodlands and wetlands. In particular the RSPB reserve at nearby Leighton Moss is a mecca for bird watchers and is nationally renowned, as is Morecambe Bay.
Recognised local beauty spots inclde Fairy Steps, Wharton Crag, Arnside Knott and Farleton Fell. These are popular places for walks and picnics.
Other local attractions include The British Waterways Fishery at Borwick, Leighton Hall, the newly restored Carnforth Railway Station of 'Brief Encounter' fame and several golf courses which welcome visitors.
For those of us who can't bear to be away from the shops Kendal is nearby as are Morecambe and Lancaster for bigger purchases, 10 pin bowling and cinemas.

A refundable security deposit of £100.00 will be required to cover for breakages and/or non return of keys.
The lodge will be available from 4.00 pm on the day of your arrrival and should be departed by 10.00 am on the date of departure.
There are additional charges for the use of the Leisure Centre and this can be paid in advance to ourselves to take advantage of the discounted rate or directly to the Leisure Centre on a session basis.
