Ancient oak beams in every room, pretty leaded windows and cosy inglenook fireplaces with wood burning stoves add to the character. It has quality fitted carpets throughout , antique pine furniture and full central heating. The cottage is fitted and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. Hillside Croft is set in over six acres of beautifully maintained cottage gardens and pastureland with fenced ponds, located at the edge of the Peak District.
Our pretty Derbyshire cottage has been given a 5 star grading by the English Tourism Council. It is safe and secure for children, quiet, private and relaxing for those wanting peace and wonderful scenery. There is car parking for over 10 cars in a secure environment. The cottage has 3 floors, there are 2 shallow staircases between every floor each with a half landing, making access for children, the elderly or infirm very accessible and safe. There are 5 bedrooms one of which is ensuite. The beautiful dining room is a delight for entertaining and adjoins our beautiful farmhouse kitchen which is equipped with all your creative needs.
The main lounge has 3 quality settees, Colour TV, DVD, video and music centre. It has a fireplace with a wood burning stove for those colder nights. The dining room along with all other rooms is fitted with quality antique pine furniture. The table seats 10 comfortably, there are extra chairs and a high chair provided. Set under an inglenook fireplace is a cosy woodburning stove.
The cottage has a fully fitted antique pine farmhouse kitchen, with tiled and marble worktops and a French double pottery sink. There is a halogen cooker with 2 ovens, a fridge/freezer, chest freezer, microwave, automatic washer, tumble drier, dishwasher, hoover, iron and ironing board, coffee maker and every other item you may wish for in a well equipped kitchen.
Bedroom 1; With 2 single beds, a cot, dressing table, triple wardrobe and cabinets all in antique pine. Quality bedding and furnishings. Master Bedroom; 1 Double bed, 1 Z bed, cabinets, dressing table and triple wardrobe. En suite facilities with power shower, WC, wash basin and shaving point. Bedroom 3; 1 Dingle bed, 1 single bed, drawers, cabinets and wardrobes. Bedroom 4; 1 Double bed, 1 single Z bed, wardrobe, drawers, coffee table, colour TV. Bedroom 5; Access through bedroom 4, contains 1 double bed, 1 single z bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, chest drawers.

1 Bathroom, 1 Shower, 3 Separate WC's. Hillside Corft has a master bathroom with bath and seperate shower. A second shower is in the en suite bedroom.
Kitchen:
Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The kitchens is extremely well equipped and a chefs delight in which to create your meals. Meals can be provided on request.
General:
Real Fire, Central Heating, Telephone, House Linen. Both cottages have log fires in the lounge areas. Hillside Croft has a log fire in the dining room also. Both have full central heating for your added comfort, underfloor in some rooms.
Dining:
Seating for 10. Our large dining tables can seat 10- 12 with comfort, within our beautiful cottage dining room. Meals can be arranged on request.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, Video, DVD, Radio, CD System, Board Games. TV, Video, DVD and CD players are provided. Pampering/massages, manicures and pedicures can be arranged to enhance your relaxtion. Meals can be arranged .
Outside:
Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The cottage has it's own private garden, with patio areas, furniture and BBQ. Orchards are at both properties and visitors my enjoy some of our local grown produce.

Hillside Croft is located in central Derbyshire and ideal for all the attractions that this beautiful county, or Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire have to offer. Visit the many stately homes such as Chatsworth House, Kedleston Hall, Sudbury Hall, Renishaw, Hardwick and Haddon Halls. Visit the many potteries in Stoke, the theme parks of Alton Towers, Gullivers Kingdom and the American Adventure. A trip down some of the many stalagmite and stalactite or blue John Caves is a must. Try climbing, caving. canoeing, walking, hot air balloons, cycling, golfing or pony trekking - something for every day and more.The magnificent scenery and walking area of the Peak District is a delight, full of pretty rivers, picturesque moorland and quaint villages surrounded by ancient limestone walling and pastureland.
Carsington Water visitor centre, water sports and cycle hire is just 10 minutes from either cottage.
Try a visit to the local stone centre, or ride the cable cars of the heights of Abraham. For those enjoying history visit one of the many museums, for steam trains, tramways or industrial heritage that are in the area.
