Trenewydd farm cottages, awarded a 5 star grade by the Welsh Tourist Board, are set in 9 acres of beautiful rural countryside close to the North Pembrokeshire coast and 3 miles from the historic market town of Cardigan.
Just 3 miles away is award winning Poppit Sands, which is perfect for children with it’s shallow water, wonderful sands and rock pools. Along this stretch of coastline are many more sandy beaches and coves where seals and dolphins are regularly spotted by our guests.
The area offers a wide variety of scenery and attractions, with opportunities for coastal and inland walking, bird watching, fishing, canoeing, horse-riding, boat trips – to name but a few. In short – there is something for everyone all year round. Enjoy visiting our historic castles and churches, craft centres and the many gardens open to visitors.
Ty Mawr is a favourite among our guests. It is affectionately named the "upsidedown cottage". All three bedrooms are on the ground floor as is the family bathroom which includes electric shower over bath.
The bedrooms are furnished in honey pine with "all seasons" duvets. Extra blankets provided for your comfort. All non-allery.
Bed Linen: All bed linen is provided and beds are made-up ready for your arrival. Please bring your own tea towels, beach blankets and towels. Towels, for use in the cottage only, can be supplied at £1.35 per week, per set of bath towel and hand towel.
Cots and highchairs are available on request and Stair gates are provided .
Linen is NOT supplied for cots.
A wooden staircase leads to the 1st floor where there is a spacious lounge/dining room. A large picture window overlooks the pool & gardens. Just off this area is a well equipped kitchen.
The large separate kitchen contains every amenity including electric cooker, washer-dryer, microwave oven, dishwasher, electric cooker, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & a full range of crockery, cutlery & cookware.
For a holiday of more than one week the cottage will be cleaned and beds changed on a weekly basis.
The cottage has background storage heating with additional heating in each room.

There are a number of fantastic beaches close by. Poppit Sands is is a large flat sandy beach backed by sand-dunes with lots of rock pools at low tide. It is only 2 miles away & a perfect place for children.
Locally there are plenty of children friendly centres including the Shire Horse Centre, only a mile away; canoeing on the river Teifi, boat trips up river or out to sea, Cardigan wildlife park where seals & dolphins close to shore draw visitors all year, to name but a few.
Walkers can enjoy the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and Preseli Mountains all close by.
There is a whole range of things to do see herefor all members of the family, for those interested in crafts there is an abundance of craft workshops & woolen mills to visit. With cheese and flour still being made in the traditional way locally there is a huge variety of fresh local produce to taste and take home with you as gifts for your relatives and friends.
For sports enthusiasts, the 18 hole golf course (10% Greenfee discount) & squash courts at Gwbert-on-Sea will provide a challengeVisitors welcome.
Fishing (Lake, sea & river) & cycling are also favourites among our guests.
Pony trekking & riding lessons in an indoor arena are available in Bridell only 4 miles away.
Narrow gauge railways, old gold & silver mines, historic castles and churches are all within a days drive through beautiful unspoilt lanes, where you can enjoy the wildflowers of the hedgerows & magnificent scenery.
Our mild coastal climate combine to make Pembrokeshire an ideal location for many gardens open to the public.
For those less energetic days you can simply sit on the lawn in front of your cottage or relax with a favorite book by our beautiful sparkling swimming pool whilst your children meet our farm pets; our pet sheep (and their lambs in the Springtime), Siani (pronounced Shan-ee) & Sam our lovable donkeys and Casgen (Welsh for barrel!), the adorable Shetland pony.
