Fuerteventura lies just off the African coast with miles of white sandy beaches washed by the Atlantic. The old capital of Betancuria along with various villages are just a few of the delights which you will discover. El Cotillo is NW of Fuerteventura with some of the most beautiful beaches on the island. The bustling resort of Corralejo has at the southern end ’Las Dunas’ National Park with unspoilt beaches that stretch for miles and only 20 minutes away is El Cotillo.
Our apartment is situated on the edge of the village, and is only a few minutes walk to the beaches. The lagoons are ideal for families with children. A little further takes you to a spectacular beach with amazing waves where you can surf board or wind sail. The beaches are uncrowded and ideal for those looking for a away from it all holiday. Naturism is widely accepted on most beaches in this area. A car is recommended but not essential.

Our apartment is on the first floor of a Moorish style building with its’ own huge sun terrace/solarium with a full compiment of sun bathing furniture ie 4 chairs/table and 4 loungers with covers. There is a large open plan lounge/diner with French doors leading onto a balcony - ideal for eating ‘al fresco’. The entrance to the building is through a main door with one flight of stairs leading to the apartment.
The apartment has a nice entrance hall which takes you to the two bedrooms, one of which has a queen size bed with large fitted wardrobes. The second bedroom has two single beds which can be put together. There is also a large fitted wardrobe.
The bathroom is fully tiled and consists of a full size bath with shower, basin with large lighted mirror, toilet and bidet.
The kitchen is fully equipped: full dinner set, crockery and cutlery, microwave, toaster, full size fridge/freezer, hob/oven, iron/ironing board, coffee maker, kettle etc.
The lounge is spacious with two comfortable sofas, a TV, DVD and stereo/CD unit. There is an oscillating fan for your comfort.
The village and surrounding area:
El Cotillo has some lovely restaurants and traditional local bars for you to seek out. The fish is still caught locally and brought into the old harbour. Some restaurants names to remember La Rustica, La Capitana, Azzurro, and The Last Resort for a great Sunday lunch. The village has a couple of small local supermarkets with a few village shops including a bakery.
Corralejo, which is approximately 20 minutes drive, has various bars, restaurants and shops for all tastes including nightlife. Golf is approx 25 minutes away in Antigua. Bicycles/surf board/wetsuits etc can be hired from the local surf shop.

General:
House Linen, Towels Provided. We have installed an oscillating fan that can be moved around. The apartment will be clean with Linen and towels provided and changed once a week. Although smoking is allowed please think of others.
Dining:
Seating for 6. Our dining table and chairs were specially chosen for comfort and space, and consists of 6 dining chairs around a large glass top ornate table.
Entertainment:
Terrestrial TV, DVD, Radio, CD System. We keep a selection of books and some dvd's along with cards etc at the apartment. Outside entertainment is mainly restaurants and a few local bars. Busy nightlife is in Corelejo, 20 km away!
Outside:
Terrace, BBQ, Parking, Balcony, Garden Furniture. Swimming is at the beach 5 mins away. Disposable BBQ's can be purchased and used on the terrace. Parking is outside the building and plentiful.

El Cotillo is suitable for all ages, but the theme is mainly beautiful beaches and nice restaurants. There is not much for children to do although there is a water park and amusements 15 mins car/bus
Local activities in and around El Cotillo, Fuerteventura
The holiday experience in El Cotillo is one of relaxation, and local activities are mainly pretty laid back. Fishing is a favourite with lots of visitors as there are lots of places along the coastline you can pick. Many people hire bikes and just ride off for the day exploring.
El Cotillo is renowed for its beaches and beautiful coastline, so what could be better than trying your hand at surf boarding or maybe snorkling at one of the many inlets on the beach. For the more adventurous there is a beach only 3 minutes drive away Playa Del Castillo where you can take a picnic, sunbathe and play in the fantastic surf all day where the busy life at home seems a million miles away.
Fuerteventura is a great island to explore. A car will give you that extra bit of freedom, and driving is pretty easy as the roads are very quite and sign posting is straight forward. For those who prefer not to drive why not take the bus! it's a great way to see the island and not be bothered about the roads. Bus travel is good from El Cotillo with routes to most parts of the island.
Corralejo has a market on certain days of the week and has numerous bars restaurants and places to visit, like the water park, the shopping for jewellery and maybe a visit to the harbour which has lots of places to stop and have a meal and a drink. Whilst in Fuerteventura it would be a shame not to visit some of the other locations such as Betancuria, Pajara, Costa Calma and Puerto Del Rosario the capital where you can find the odd bargain to bring back.

Rental Notes: Arriving and vacating the apartment:- The apartment should be ready for you by 3.00pm and vacated by 12.00 noon (Every effort will be made to accommodate early arrivals and late departures)
Rental is £285 = 2 adults £320 = 3 adults £360 = 4 adults all year round including xmas time. Children:- add £20 pw extra per child. We have a rep on hand to assist you during your stay and help with any enquires. The apartment will be clean and have towels and linen provided. A clean change of bed linen and towels will be provided during a two week stay.
