Welcome to Villa Hatira.
Our house is set in one of Turkey's most treasured conservation areas famous for the nesting site of the Loggerhead Turtle and the Nile River Turtle. Villa Hatira itself is only 5 minutes gentle walk to the centre of Dalyan with its many bars, shops and restaurants, and overlooks a park and the famous Lycian rock tombs.
Villa Hatira sleeps six in two double and one twin room all with their own en-suite shower rooms. The two double rooms also have their own balconies overlooking the park and tombs and the private swimming pool. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans , air conditioning will be fitted to all bedrooms for 2009, and insect nets to all windows so that the windows can be left open at night so benefiting from the cooling breeze.
Downstairs there is a large air conditioned open plan living area which includes a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, full sized cooker and fridge with freezer compartment. The dining area accomodates 6 as does the lounge and both lead onto the large veranda which again overlooks the park and tombs and the pool, the best place to be to watch the sunset. Inside there is also a sunken Turkish seating area set around an Ottoman stone fireplace.
Outside, enjoy breakfast on the veranda overlooking the tombs whilst watching the birds come down to drink at the large private pool. You may then wish to have a cooling dip followed by a b b q lunch and a siesta in the covered outside seating area. The perfect way to relax.
For those who are eager to be more active there is plenty to do from visiting markets, hiring a boat for the day to visit the lake or many coves out to sea, canoeing along the river, mountain biking, bird watching, white water rafting, moonlight cruises, jeep safaris and much more. A folder of trips is available at Villa Hatira as is a good selection of games and novels.
Dalaman airport is the local airport and is only 25 minutes from Dalyan. Flying time form the UK is 3.5 hours and flights leave from most regional airports. Please note that Villa Hatira is a non smoking house and that we also ask guests to remove their shoes in line with Turkish tradition.

Real Fire, Air Conditioning, House Linen. Bed linen is changed each week and the property cleaned. We ask guests to provide their own beach and outside towels. Air conditioning is available downstairs with ceiling fans to all the bedrooms

Seating for 6. Both inside and outside dining areas seat 6 persons. You can choose from eating on the veranda whilst overlooking the pool, gaden and famous rock tombs or in the covered area next to the bar-b-q.

Villa Hatira like most of Dalyan in built on level ground so access to all the amenities is an easy walk for those who cannot manage hills or steep slopes.
Local activities in and around Dalyan, Aegean Coast
Dalyan village lies at the centre of a broad river delta and nestles beside the Dalyan River which links Lake Koycegiz to the Mediterranean. Dramatic mountains and rolling pine clad hills form an impressive backdrop. Itzuzu beach lies 7 miles by road or river cruise. The impressive sand bar stretches for nearly 3 miles and is one of the last nesting sites in the Mediterranean for the Loggerhead Turtle and therefore is a highly ptotected area.
There are numerous trips and excursions from Dalyan that can be booked locally. A file with details of these is available at villa Hatira. The area caters for all that is needed whether you just wish to relax by the pool or want something more adventurous like mountain biking or white water rafting.
The numerous ancient sites provide for those who like to 'walk over history' and the countryside provides excellant opportunities for those who wish to walk or watch the numerous species of bird both on the river, in the reeds or on the lake. In fact Dalyan caters for all that you might need. However if you want disco's, English pubs and fast food outlets then please DON'T come to Dalyan.
