There are many shops, restaurants and bars around the lively marina. There are no high rise blocks to spoil the view. Puerto de la Duquesa is about a 60 minute easy drive from Malaga airport and 25 minutes from Gibraltar. Great golf nearby.

Our penthouse is on the fourth and fifth floor in the new Duquesa Suites complex.
It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Upstairs is the master bedroom with its ensuite bathroom and Jacuzzi bath and bidet, two balconies off, one on either side to follow the sun.
Downstairs is the main living room with satellite TV, DVD player and stereo, dining for 4. The twin bedroom is at the front and there is another shower room here. Off the living room is another balcony with patio furniture for alfresco dining. The kitchen is fully fitted with everything you could need including a dishwasher and washing machine. The apartment is fully air-conditioned with marble floors throughout.
The complex has three pools, a children's pool and small playground set in beautiful tropical gardens. There is a designated secure parking space beneath the block and a lift.
La Duquesa The complex is in a quiet area yet only a short walk from the marina and port area of Puerto de la Duquesa. There you will find numerous shops and bars. There are some great restaurants with cuisine from France, Italy, Thailand, China, India, Scandinavia, Great Britain and Ireland as well as Spain. There’s a shop to rent DVDs, fishing gear and bikes. It is one hour's easy drive from Malaga airport and 25 minutes from Gibraltar.
The marina has more than 300 berths. There are no high rise hotels here to spoil the view. The blue flag beach stretches as far as Sabanillas and on to Estepona. On the other side, it winds around the coast to Sotogrande. The waterfront is closed to traffic making it very safe for children.
La Duquesa is well situated on the road network, 10km south west of Estepona on the N340 highway. There are plenty of beautiful places to visit in Andalucia. Granada is about 2 hours drive away and Seville 2.5 hours.
Marbella and Puerto Banus are easy to visit about 25 minutes along the coast.

Note the marble stairs to the master bedroom, this may not be suitable for toddlers. As the twin bedroom and shower room are on one level, it would be suitable for those with limited mobility.
Local activities in and around Duquesa, Costa del Sol - Malaga
Golf Duquesa's golf and country club is a championship 18 hole Robert Trent Jones course. It is 400m away and overlooks the Mediterranean with views out to North Africa and Gibraltar. There are more than 60 golf courses along the 'Costa del Golf.' Valderrama, Sotogrande, Los Arqueros and Monte Mayor are a few of the many recommended Golf courses within a 30 minute drive.
Estepona Estepona is a pleasant seaside town with many shops and restaurants. There is a lovely promenade and a huge Carrefour if you are self catering. In the hills is Selwo safari park that comes highly recommended. Prado World is a combined water and theme park.
Benalmadena This is a good place for family attractions. There is the Tivoli pleasure park, entertaining rather than adrenaline fueled. Mijas aqua park is an outdoor waterpark Parque Acuatico Mijas with slides, rapid etc. In Torremolinos is a larger Aquapark with slides, rapids and golf.
Marbella Marbella is arguably the Costa del Sol's most up market resort. It still attracts the wealthy international crowd. If you want to join them on the promenade, it is 30 mins from Duquesa.
Puerto Banus This great for people watching by the harbour and shopping at some of the many other shops in the centre. The town buzzes at night with glitzy bars, restaurants and discos.
Seville About 2 hrs drive. Worth visiting are the 15th century cathedral and the Giralda, a 12th century minaret.
Granada A 2 1/2 hr drive along motorways through the mountains. The city is vibrant and well worth a visit for itself but the pearl of the destination is the Alhambra.
Tarifa Along the coast beyond Gibraltar. The wind funnells in from the Atlantic to the Straits of Gibraltar so it is always windy. Famous for surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing and a great place to go on whale and dolphin watching tours.
Gibraltar About 30 mins along the coastal motorway. The rock with its apes is very impressive and there are historical sights and duty

One hour from Malaga airport along the E15 toll motorway. Turn off at Manilva. 25 minutes from Gibraltar aiport. 1 1/2 hours from Jerez.
