Villa Cafaggiolo is an ancient stone built Farmhouse situated at the top of a panoramic Chianti Hill. Surrounded by open farm-land cultivated with olive groves and vineyards. It is a large free-standing country estate, constructed in the late 1700s. The Villa has a charming country feel to it, while providing at the same time many modern features. It has been restored using traditional materials and conserving the original terracotta floors and beamed ceilings.
It is divided into 3 Luxury Apartments, each having its own private entrance and separate garden. They are tastefully furnished with antique furniture and chandeliers and decorated with paintings and ceramics. Villa Cafaggiolo is located in the Chianti Ruffino countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive trees. It is at the top of a hill so you can enjoy a great view of the valley.

Villa Cafaggiolo is immersed in silence with a private road leading to the farmhouse. You will never hear the sound of traffic (day or night) during your stay. Our guests love falling asleep to the nightly sounds of nature.
The town of Pontassieve is less than 2 miles from the Villa. It is an attractive medieval village where you will find many shops, banks, markets, several very good restaurants, and a shopping center. There is frequent train service to the center of Florence. The train takes about 20 minutes and is an easy way to travel for those who do not wish to take their car into the city. It is easy to park at or close to the Pontassieve Station.
Near Villa Cafaggiolo there are many historic places to visit: - the 11th century Benedictine Monastery at Rosano. - the Vallombrosa Abbey with its surrounding forests. - the Etruscan Village of Fiesole with its unforgettable views of Florence.
