Situated just fifteen minutes’ walk away from England’s largest lake, Lake Windermere, the house is ideally located for exploring the area and is full of character and charm.
This pretty semi detached property was originally the coachman’s cottage within a modest country estate built in the 19th century. It combines the charm of traditional features with the comfort of modern conveniences. Its large 'baronial' style dining room with ancient table and large stone fireplace is a particularly popular feature.
The location is quiet and rural, but also a short drive from the shops and services of Windermere town.
The property is looked after with singular care and attention by its owner Mrs Joan Carus, who personally looks after the house and welcomes visitors. It is run as a ‘home from home’ with all kinds of facilities and extra provisions that make your stay as comfortable as possible.
The garden is large and pretty, with a stream running through it that children absolutely love. The garden attracts local wildlife including badgers, heron and wild ducks.
