Casa da Avo is a 400 year old cottage that is part of Quinta Catevento - a real working quinta surrounded by vinyards and orange groves on the coast near Tavira and Fuzeta. Restored in a traditional style, Casa da Avo offers you an experience of real Portugal - it even has its own private museum, for guests only ! With a private garden and pool, in quiet country surrounding, you can't fail to have a wonderful and relaxing holiday.
Casa da Avo sleeps four people in one double ( bed 135 x 195) and one twin bedroom (105 x 190). The twin bedroom has en-suite shower room. There is an additional shower room with WC for the double bedroom. There is a quaint kitchen and dining area complete with old bread oven, now equipped with modern appliances for self catering. There is also a small lounge area. Outside, you have a walled and cobbled private courtyard complete with dinign tables and chairs and barbeque. There is a large cobbled terrace to the front of the house for parking, and through which you approach the mature private garden and the large private pool.
It is less than five minutes walk to the shore of the Ria Formosa, a great area for lovers of the outdoors and especially for bird watchers. The local village of Luz de Tavira is only a ten minute walk away, where you will find all basic services, such as a daily fruit & veg and fish market, food shops, bank, cafe, post office etc, as well as a fine and very old church. Access to the wonderful white sand beaches of the Ria Formosa is just a five to ten minute drive away at Barril and Fuzeta. Quinta Catevento is also well placed for you to explore the towns of Faro, Olhão, Tavira and Vila Real, as well as the rest of the lovely Eastern Algarve.

Rental Notes: Change-over day is Saturday. All bed linen and towels for use in the house are provided and changed after one week. Towels for use at pool and beach are not provided. We can provide cot and high chair for babies free of charge, but we do not supply bed linen for the cot.
