Set on the side of a hill on the edge of a charming hilltop village with stunning views over the vineyards sloping down to the Dordogne river. This 2 bedroom cottage offers accommodation over two floors with 2 bathrooms plus a further WC with wash-basin.
Outside is the terrace and garden with wonderful views to the west over the valley - ideal for lazy evening meals and watching the beautiful sunsets.

Apart from two bedrooms upstairs there is a double sofa bed in the very large lounge (6m x6m) downstairs which can easily be used as an additional bed. Downstairs there is a bathroom with bath with shower over it plus a wash basin. Upstairs is a shower room with vanity unit and WC and another WC with vanity unit.
The kitchen includes all the facilities required either for cooking a gourmet meal or just microwave snacks. It has double doors onto the patio which is an alternative place to eat overlooking the valley. There is a dining table to accommodate six in the large lounge/diner, overlooking the view across the valley. Because the cottage is on a hillside with lovely views, there are drops from the terraces which make it unsafe for small children who may climb the barriers if unsupervised.
Pujols is a very small, charming village set on a hilltop amongst vineyards overlooking the Dordogne valley. There is a boulangerie (open until 12 pm), an epicerie supplying most everyday needs and an excellent small restaurant for lunches. On the outskirts of the village is another very good restaurant. It has a classic French square shaded by trees, a tiny and very old church and part of a Henry II (of England) castle.
Apart from the wine tasting and vineyards, for the sporty there are tennis courts in the village a short walk from the house; canoeing and cycling nearby; and several golf courses not far away.

Children are welcome but the cottage is not suitable for young children because it has terraces from which they can fall.
Also we don't mind smokers who smoke outside and dispose of cigarette ends!
Local activities in and around Pujols sur Dordogne, Aquitaine/Dordogne
Surrounded by vineyards and wine producers. St Emilion is 20 minutes away - a beautiful medieval town with wonderful restaurants. Bordeaux speaks for itself - a beautiful city with wonderful wines. In fact for people who enjoy wine tasting, one is spoilt for choice! Bergerac is about 40 minutes to the east along the Dordogne river.
Situated about 45 minutes each way from Bordeaux to the west and Bergerac to the east, it provides an ideal base for those who like wine-tasting, visiting the many places of interest in the region or just lapping up the sunshine and the view from the terraces and the garden.
The 100 years war with England was ended in nearby Castillon-la-Bataille - and the French celebrate it every year with mock battles! Castillon (10 minutes) has supermarkets, banks, pharmacy, restaurants and has a market one day a week. Of course, St Emilion, 20 minutes away, has many excellent restaurants.
Pujols itself is a peaceful and pretty village but for the energetic there are tennis courts in the village and cycling, canoeing and jet-skiing nearby.
Golf courses are at Teynac and Cameyrac to the west (about 20-25 minutes) and top courses at Medoc (just north of Bordeaux) and Chateau Vigiers near Ste Foy-la-Grande.
