| The Southern Aegean Islands are group of islands situated off the coast of Greece and offer holidaymakers beautiful natural surroundings, beaches and mountainous areas. The group consists of a number of islands including Rhodes, Cos, Carpathos, Naxos, Andros, Kythnos & Milos. The most famous Island in the region is Rhodes, which attracts many holidaymakers throughout the year. The island is full of history and heritage and is home to the landmark attractions of the Grand Master's Palace & Medieval City of Rhodes both of which attract many tourists.
Naxos Island is also a popular tourist destination, with several easily accessible ruins. It has many beautiful beaches, such as those at Agia Anna, Agios Prokopios, Alikos, Kastraki, Mikri Vigla, Plaka, and Agios Georgios whilst its many villages are full of Greek heritage and culture. Many of the Islands in the region are also full of Greek history and heritage whilst also being home to a number golden beaches and breathtaking surroundings. The large number of restaurants, bars and cafes in the area allow holidaymakers to sample the finest in Greek cuisine whilst a number of shops are present for holidaymakers to sample during their stay.
